  1. Stay on as coach certainly if he works with the new man. Manager, your having a laugh. That said not a huge jump from Bruce. Its just a sign of how worn down we are that Bruce is an option, the next stop is the likes of Curbishley, Dowie and Burley.. before we know it Kinnear will seem like SAF. If Shearer doesnt stay on neither will Dowie IMO.
  2. Its the best thing, having a true fan of the club getting the oppurtunity to go in and kick some people into action. I'm sure he has been seeing exactly what we have. The drink thing seems extreme, certainly the Souness coming out.. There cant be any arguments given the situation we are in though. Had we been coasting in the mid to upper table when he came in it might seem a little harsh, but we should be pulling out all the stops right now. I like the speak up to the new regime if you dont like it, then leave comments. Like with bringing in Ferris, seems a bit much for 8 games (hinting at a long term stay) but I guess its what ever will get the job done.
  3. Wise out, Dowie in, Ferris back in for physio? All a bit bloody dramatic for 8 games, isnt it? Can understand Dowie but the other two seem strange if he isnt creeping in and setting up shop when no one is looking.
  4. To be fair i dont think you could ever honestly say kinnear had a honeymoon period. the fans didnt want him the players didnt want him and both were rock bottom and at breaking point. firefighting in hell is closer to the truth.
  5. Only 8 games. no more according to the man himself. lets see what happens if he gets us to stay up.
  6. Dowie in just to show that there is something uglier than the football we have been playing.
  7. With only 8 games to go and him only manager till the end of the season do you think the board will allow him to bring in whoever he wants as his backroom staff and sack current backroom staff members ? Also if he did bring in his own backroom staff I have no doubts they will all be experienced. Shearer isn't daft he knows his weaknesses and wouldn't bring in anyone unproven at this stage to support him in those weaknesses I think Shearer will pretty much have the board by their knackers at this point. I dont expect anyone but Rob Lee to come in straight away. Hughton and Calderwood will certainly stay on until the end of the season at least. There isnt any point getting rid of anyone. Both Hughton and Calderwood will act as the experience for now. If he stays on past the season it will be interesting to see if John Carver returns alongside Lee as predicted before xmas. Its all on the up now until the we get a thumping from Chelsea to bring us back down to earth.
  8. Either he will leave the club or become a consultant and lackey for the new manager. DOF is laughable (as the role that we know it). He might get a year for sympathy before we bin him.
  9. Question is will the Lee come join the coaching staff? If he stays on It wouldnt be a suprise to see Gary Speed back too. Hughton and Calderwood on their bikes.
  10. Could you imagine if it was an apil fool. all hell would break loose!
  11. Win win for shearer.. he wont get blamed for taking us down. Question is, will he stay after the season.
  12. Jol has his bags packed and ready....for his well earned holiday. o leary is nailed on. funny id actually consider him until the end of the season with the state we are in. shame short term contracts at nufc seems to translate into 3 year contract!
  13. Wouldnt be upset if he came. Would certainly take him yesterday given the situation we are in. I still think we can do better. I dont think we will do better, infact im more inclined to think we would stick with Kinnear and having him work part time. Not sure about titarse returning but if he can sort him out like he has at wigan it wouldnt be bad. I think its more about the crowd pressure than anything else. Him and Colo would be shit your pants stuff for the fans though.
  14. Harper, raylor, beye, colo, enrique, guitterez, nolan, guthrie, loverlover, martins, owen.
  15. Great to see vancouver back in the big time. doesnt help me much as im bloody miles from toronto or vancouver, good to see another canadian team though.
  16. im with dave best thing ashley has done since he got here.
  17. Still fancy houllier for the job. not inspiring but we need a succesful, experienced coach to try and stabalise the club through the next couple of years, then maybe groom a succesor.
  18. Ok. so i wont call him injury prone. can i still call him past his best?
  19. In my head im approaching up to an 8. cant see anyone looking less clueless than they have all season. Any false confidence will be ripped away after the arsenal/chelsea games. Hearts not even considering relegation. im in canada though, think id be bricking it if i was living in the toon surrounded by it.
  20. Where are those twats when you need a georgian mafia in banner? im all for handing out bald wigs for matchday.

    Jonas Gutierrez

We have to pay for him?! send him back tbh.
  22. Wow the mere notion of having barton, nolan, guthrie, nacho, smith and butt fit for selection blows my mind, reglardless of how shit half of them are.
  23. Going to be a really tough game, can catapult our season if we get the three points though.
  24. He would probably get a 500,000 bonus if he was on 50,000 a week, 25,000 a week is a pittance for managers in the premiership.
  25. To buy who?Never been replaced as our DM.As Butt, who was here when he left stepped in. I think it was more a notion that Barton coming in would replace Parker (and level out the transfer fee), the thought of moving Parker back to DM (where he had performed best) wasnt even considered, also probably and now Ironically we thought we were overstocked in midfield too.
