Yet again another woefull performance, just when you think the performances cant dip any lower. Worse than Roeder and Souness? Probably not by much, but then neither of the former managers had the level of so called talent at their disposal. Fair play to Beye, but there isnt anyone else worthy of keeping a starting place after today. Bring on January. We have to stick with allardyce though, he tried to play as defensive as he could and tried to keep it tight and scrappy, it backfired again in his face and he had no clues to turn things round. Another tough learning lesson for those on the payroll and another waste of time for the support that flatters the quality on show.

Amen to that. Beye has been the shining light in a shower of shit. We just dont look sharp enough, and are way too sloppy in possesion. Smith seemed to come alive in the last 10 mins, but its a woeful effort so far. N'Zogbia, has been poo, Emre has been sloppy as hell and geremi looks slow and bumbling in possesion. I can understand Viduka not being match fit. Considering the system change we havent done too badly, but we sit far to deep and no-one ventures forward or tries to create other than long balls. I hope sam fires a rocket up their asses because its the least they deserve.

Came here to try and become a player like gerrard -
Would hate him to turn out to be our prolific top scorer for a couple of seasons after paying peanuts for him
-
But he has already signed for everton! not convinced he would adapt but we are so void of creativity sam is putting tony hart on the bench. pray he doesnt get injured because gazza is just waiting in the wings.

Chopra couldnt have been built up more. chris holland? was another one although some cunt throwing ammonia in his eyes didnt help him. shame for the lad. good shout should go out to the winners of that soccer stars show that never made it over long enough to stay for the prize. And less we forget pinas.

Good luck to him. should never have been appointed full time here. Should have returned to the academy. talked the right vision and plans but lacked the spine and ability. fingers crossed pattison, shola and damage to follow. -
It was so good i naturally had to repeat it, to give the original post the respect it deserved. plus i probably missed it. two pages equates to 30 when your looking at here on the phone.

Poor timing. they would have been in with a chance of getting megson.

Not that bad. but really not that good either. its just a very uninspiring appointment. its bad in the sense they are getting into a relegation scrap and the need a battler to instill some fight and discipline but can he take them much further than that? in a years time will they be better off when the honeymoon period has worn off and the better players gone with it? there are better choices out there, but maybe they just arent interested. -

At least they appointed someone that the best players will respect. suddenly even souness doesnt seem as bad. if only a little. hugely mediocre appointment. -
Wouldnt turn him down, depends on how much they want for him. He would bring experience to help Enrique, but on the other hand would probably want an automatic starting spot. Maybe this guy from Real might be better?

Cheap replacement for Ameobi who will be off in the January window. although will provide some cover for Oba heading of for the african nations. -
Reserves beat Wigan 3-1; Barton scores and plays well
toontownman replied to ChrisJbarnes's topic in Football
looks like at least securing a place on the bench for the spurs game, smart goal and a neat performance so far tonight. Beating Wigan reserves 3-0 at the minute. -
Other than Ronny Johnsen you mean?

shouldnt matter after today. Owen and Viduka will both miss the next few games. Its a big test for Big Sam and its early days at the moment. It will be hard to keep everyone happy, thats what you need to have in the squad, but I can see with where the club is at the moment that people would be upset being on the bench, it would be less of a problem if they were playing at chelsea or manure. Oba will get more time, but I think sam is dicing with death a little!

NUFC.com - Ze Maria to have trial? Also at Sheffield United...

Sounds about right. Would be suprised, although with Big Sam you can never tell. Sounds like he is well past his best, thats before having to adapt to the premier league. But another body especially with his experience is always good to have at the club until we can upgrade in Jan/July -
Sell Emre if we replace him with a quality creative midfielder. Personally I think Emre can flourish in our team, but ive he fancies running away back home good luck to him, we can replace him with better.
-
Personally delighted we have signed him, he has been one of Boltons best players over the past couple of years, he knows Allardyce and his methods inside out, as Sam knows him. A midfield dominator has been on quite a few peoples lists this close season, albeit quite far down the priorities. Whilst he isnt an Appiah or even a Diarra, he has the advantage of his history in the premiership and with Allardyce. Nicky Butt is a battler, but is lacking in height and physical presence. We have decent strength in depth now, I fail to see why anyone could be unhappy with Faye, especially at that price in todays inflated market.

Lets just start off imagining he is shit regardless, that way at least we wont build him up before we rip him apart, when he isnt deco after a couple of games.
