  1. Depends who we buy. We've still got the same shocking CM we had last season which got us relegated. Colocinni and co have done well at the back this season, but if say in one game we get battered off Rooney, Drogba or Torres, how long will it be before confidence drops? I would be worried about the effect a few defeats in a row would have.
  2. Batched all ower the living room. Now to get pished.
  3. I only put a few down because I think a lot of them are still to prove themselves. Definatly not, Butt, Best, Simpson, Smith, Nolan and Ranger at the moment.
  4. I think we'll need quite a bit. West Brom have done well against us and controlled the midfield in the home game. Considering they will be one of the weakest teams next season, I think there's quite a few areas needing strengthened. A right back, a striker and at least one cm for me. Premier League quality players too.
  5. Remember Kinnear saying 'we might do something with Enrique in January'? Thank christ he never got rid.

Thought I was on the Liverpool forums for a min there.

    Toon Anomalies 101

I assume this is a pisstake?
  8. It was actually quite good last night actually. Usually fuckin hate the programme, but didnt know kids went round beating their dads up on it. I just thought they argued about who had the most sheep and stuff.
  9. I don't think Baba meant it like you're thinking tbf. I think he's saying it's an example that would terrify any gay footballer, rather than being critical of Fashanu himself. Feel free to correct me though Baba. Well yeah, I am not really being critical of Fashanu himself (though he is no saint. Do not forget their was a rape charge hanging over him before the hanging). The fact of the matter is that the only openly gay footballer saw his career go into tailspin and ended up dead eight years later. If the first black footballers had horrible career experiences, found no success, and ended up killing themselves then it probaly would have set back integration for a fair bit. No one wants to have to carry the weight that Justin did. It is much easier to play pretend and hide your sexual orientation. On my point about the atmosphere around professional sports, here is an interview about John Amaechi, a basketball player that came out after retirement (British-Nigerians breaking down barriers!): These attitudes are more common in male-dominated industries than other places, imo. It is best to keep quiet. So you post that, and don't think there's a problem to be addressed?
  10. Aye. Haha. Ive heard it from a quite reliable source tbf.
  11. The Taylor texting Carrolls bird story is coming from a few places now. Sounds like it could be true.
  12. McGeady would be a terrible signing at that money and is no better than what we have. He ALWAYS buckles in the big games. Would much rather McCarthy from Wigan.
  13. I don't see why all gay people in general would feel the 'need' to come out. It might just not be that important to a person. Not everybody will be eaten up with guilt feeling they're living a lie. They might just think, what the fucks it got to do with anyone else? I'm sure most people don't go around flaunting what they do in the bedroom or what their fantacies are. There probably more people in the closet, than people who who are out. They probably just don't find the need to tell everyone. Everybody keeps things about their lives to themselves without it eating them up, so I'm sure its the same for gay people who don't let others know.
  14. I think this thread, and the Xisco one shows a campaign is needed. Although the current one the showed on Late Kick Off is pretty shit.

    If we're promoted...

Why, because the pricks at Old Trafford or the Camp Nou wouldn't do it? Nowt wrong with a pitch invasion to celebrate going up. We did it at Grimsby and it'll happen at Plymouth or Reading or wherever. Can't wait to see the threads appear on here from all the lads sat at their monitors in all their dignified glory. It's got nowt to do with Man United man. We haven't achieved anything - it's those arrogant pricks' faults we're down here in the first place - celebrating the fact we're going back to where we should never have left in the first place is stupid. I wouldn't say its the 'arrogant pricks' fault tbh. We went down because we were in mayhem all season, the management was shocking, and we totally lacked quality in the centre of midfield. The pricks who I would blame for not stepping up to the plate last season, like Owen, have gone. By 'arrogant pricks', I was covering management, ownership and players alike Fair enough.

Not sure ill be able to scale the drop down from Level 7 tbh. haha.
  18. Rafael Scheidt (pronounced Shite). He really was.
  19. Its because there arnt many people who want to watch you, whereas we have loads of fans wanting to watch us. Theres good things and bad things about it though. It means that I got to see Sheffield United and Swansea away on one hand, as I couldn't get, but on the other hand I had to travel to Preston on a Monday night, and leave in the small hours to get to Cardiff in time for a early Sky kick off. Plymouth is a pisstake. If I could afford to get to every single away game, I think I would be pretty pissed off with the number of games changed to silly times this season.
