  1. That is hideous. Anything other than an all-black sponsor is probably going to make it even worse. Epitomizes almost everything that's wrong with Puma's design department (jagged! different! futuristic! bright! whimsical!). Only thing missing is an iron-on badge.
  2. Love Poch as a first team PL manager, and wouldn't be totally against letting him rebuild the whole show, but there's a significant nagging doubt that he could fix the infrastructure. I am 100% confident that Rafa could fix the infrastructure and set us up for decades of success (assuming no change in ownership). I am also comfortable with him managing and fixing the first team. For first team improvement I'm Poch > Rafa, but for fixing the whole clusterfuck, I'm Rafa >>> Poch.
  3. All updates are in the clique's WhatsApp group as always. PM Dave or DM Caulkin for an invite.
  4. BvB here as well. Have been following them for a few years now after ramping up my Bundesliga viewing. Initially picked them because a good friend is a long time Bayern fan and just wanted the banter. Have stuck with them because of their approach to bringing youth players through and their tendency to just fucking go for it on the offensive end. Like the way the Club seems to be run too, though I'm sure there's probably plenty of minutiae that I'm not aware of, but I've consciously decided to have just a "fun" (imagine that!) experience with the Bundesliga, rather than opening myself up to any more sports-related suffering. Anywho, been watching more Bundesliga than anything else for the last several years. In the US, FS1 and FS2 (Fox Sports 1 and 2) have been showing lots of games so I'm able to see quite a bit each Matchday - even more than the Prem. Hoping that they truly due have the safety angle covered and, if there's a glimmer that they don't, that they shut it down for the year.

    Rafa Benítez

New post on Rafa's blog this morning: http://www.rafabenitez.com/web/in/blog/difficult-times/135/ An update and insights on preseason training - half of which he did in China and half in Spain as the pandemic was hitting its stride. As you'd expect from Rafa, he is ever-inquisitive and, as a result, has thoughtful insights on how different places are handling the pandemic. Argh, I miss him being part of the Club so much. The idea of Brucey even thinking to pay attention to the things Rafa talks about in depth (in a second language!), let alone learning from them, or, Hell, even cobbling together one coherent sentence on the subject . . . .
  6. I'm going to go with not very. So you're saying it is connected to some degree? It’s a site run from Texas. Dell Computers is based in Texas . . . .
  7. That's an interesting choice. I'll never forget the friend in high school who called me in a panic because her then-boyfriend had called in a dedication of that song to her on a local radio station. She thought he was going to dump her or kill her, but it turns out he just never listened to the lyrics (then she dumped him).
  8. Looks like my kids' first shite attempts at tie dye when they were toddlers at church camp. I am half-Swedish tho, so . . . (it's shite).
  9. FYPs. And, Judge Holden, welcome to the Depression Dome.

Never forget. I know it's chump change in today's game, but Christ we paid another club to get him. :jesuswept:
  11. Someone photoshop that face into the Stoke/Sky dildo photo!
  12. Just a friendly reminder that the club paid £4 million compensation to Wednesday for the privilege of putting Brucie in the driver's seat.
  13. Thumbheed must need a new pair of specs. It's January 21st, not the 31st. He had a full 10 days to find a cheaper, less-impressive loan signing!

Absolutely chuffed for you and your lad! As a long-time soccer dad (my player started at age 4 and she's almost 16 now), it's wonderful to see them gain work ethic, confidence, knowledge of the game and become a team player. So much valuable stuff apart from the footie. Congrats and love to the whole HTT family!
  15. He is one lucky bastard. :: Squires' Steve Bruce "Fuckin' hell" new contract panel ::
  16. One of the (currently limited) benefits of living in the U.S. is the amount of Liga MX we get to see. Quality league, fun footie, and Monterray are a worthy representative.

What did he say about wor Jack? For us non-subscriber plebs.. My best attempt at his response to the question of why he moved from his typical 4-2-3-1 to three at the back - "but when we came here [to Newcastle], we didn't have . . . I remember the first year, the first months, we didn't have a holding midfielder, we didn't have a left fullback. We played Colback one game, we played Anita one game, so we didn't even have the players."

Loved the quick, but classy, slagging of Jogback at the 30 minute mark.
