Moved an all-day on-site with a client from Tuesday to Friday when I realized! #Planning -
Voted 5 because neither of the "explanations" on 1 or 10 made any fucking sense to me.

Love him because he's the spitting twin of one of my favorite people who also happens to own one of my favorite breweries in town. Also, love a quick person with stubby legs, as a 6'3" person with a 32" inseam.

I had a soft spot for Inverness Caledonian Thistle after they upset Celtic in the Scottish Cup a decade or so ago and ordered a kit. Got an XXXXL (normally wear an XL or at worst XXL in Nike and Adidas) on advice of the Club shop and it was still only barely not too fucking tight to wear in public. Think I wore it oot and aboot once. It also pilled like crazy and was like being wrapped in Saran wrap. Hope they've gotten their shite together, but they used to be crazy stingy on the fabric, and that was when kits weren't skin-tight on the pros.

One of the few things the U.S. does right on this issue is creating mandated reporters - people in positions of likely trust with kids - doctors, nurses, teachers, social workers, coaches - who are required by law to report allegations of child abuse, including sexual abuse, to the governmental agencies that are (theoretically) trained to investigate those situations. Obviously, the system is far from perfect, but it's a step in the right direction because it removes the "do I report or not" option - be found to have failed to report, and lose your professional license. My wife and I (both of us are mandated reporters due to our jobs) were in the awkward situation of having to hotline our son's girlfriend's family a couple of years ago after she came to us with allegations of physical and mental abuse by her parents.

Apart from when he's a diving/whinging c*nt, I love me some Marcelo. Such schweet crosses. -
Group F - Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea - SWE & MEX advance

Very disappointed to learn this wasn't a Mexico/Germany joke I didn't get. -

Reus is on the bench but, as always, he's a 50/50 risk to pick up a career-ending injury whilst warming up to come on. -
Group D - Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria - CRO & ARG advance

There's a group of Icelandic Coaches touring the US this summer putting on camps for youth players to teach them to play the Icelandic way. Just what U.S. youth soccer needs! -
Also hedges against him having a shite World Cup, and him sustaining a serious injury during the tournament. Slight to moderate discount now for the buyer to take on those risks.

Losses are tax-deductible in U.S. If his other investments have been doing well, he may get a substantial benefit from accepting/writing off the Mackem losses.

Can't wait to see how this result is turned into "evidence" that the WBA players didn't play hard enough or with sufficient fret for Pards, and let him down.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
stlouismag replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Maybe Jill, but otherwise, yeah. For the record, I'm #teamstifferz and appreciate him taking the leap of faith knowing the shitstorm it would generate. -
Will someone change the thread title if and when HBA actually moves to a new club? Can't be arsed rolling through pages of this shite to see if anything's happened. Ta.

These are on ESPN3 in the States at 2:40 eastern time if anyone is looking to make Good Friday a little bit better.

Pure class.

Another ref, and I'm 100% in Camp Bimpy. I'm calling that offside all day long.

Rapturous applause for that one.

Just Ashley back early from his trip. Better pic here: -
Post-match interview was typically classy. Battled well, didn't think Gayle's dive was remotely a pen, working with Lee and Mike to improve the squad, mum on the takeover.
-
Remains pure class. We are lucky to have him, particularly given the crap he's had to deal with from above. I'm very hopeful (not drinking my, or anyone else's, piss hopeful, but still . . .) after the result tonight.

I'm not saying it didn't work out OK, just that it was hardly skillful execution on our part that got us to the half one down. Thankfully we had the Most Valuable Post playing as a sweeper. It was a risky approach (not that there was a better one available to Rafa) and we were fortunate. Second half was close to enjoyable-ish.
