  1. Wher has he been playing in his games for Manu?
  2. Intelligent attacking midfielder with good feet. OK, does he have pace? does he dribble? Passing ability on par with?
  3. What typeof striker is cleverly? No9 back to goal, in between lines guile berkamp type or out and out pace boy... Tell me some more pls...
  4. I think Nolan will play a leading role for us next season, I hope the rumours that he is a stone or so lighter are true as he was carrying too much extra last season. I really would like to see him at 100%, I like him and think he will be the second striker behind carrol. Back to the thread, I would also go for Cambell Coloccini pairing at the back, loads of high level experience and hopefully this past year in the championship has smoothed Colo's intro to english football, still has me on the edge of my seat a couple of times a game but is getting better. Cambell also is the more agressive leading defender which I think <Colo will take to well... Another couple I think will push on are Barton (can't get any worse I suppose) and Guthrie (ver consistent end of last), I think will Nolan or whoever giving them a hand in midfield it will help them develop as a pairing, I just hope that Hughton isn't stupid enough to stick barton out wide as it would be a grave injustice to our wide boys.
  5. Will take a lot of convincing to get me to like xisco, he was crap last year in spain and I didn't like his attitude his first stay with us. I hope he proves me wrong, hopefully I will see him this weekend at SJP, been a while since I've been back (Reading - Pancrate goal was last live game!!!).
  6. Lovenkrands has to be considered as our third or fourth striker. It is healthy to seeus being linked with possible strikers such as Ben arfa who play in the hole behind the out and out strikers. We will deffo be playing a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 next season to contain better midfields than we did last year. I personally don't think Ben Arfa is a good buy, he is apparently very lightweight and doesn't work very hard... I think Nolan with some weight off would be the perfect fold for carrol as he arrives for second phase and he works well defensively, we could see a revelation this year...fingers crossed!
  7. Huntelaar was a pile of sh***te when in Spain, the same has been said of him at Milan. Would cost us too much and would want astronomical wages, would rather have somebody like Zamora...

    James Perch

I am happy that we have signed him, he was one of the players many would have been happy to sign after our two games against forest... He is capable, let's see if he's consistent, age is right also... I am happy that we have spent some money, goes to show that it was barra'boy negotiating tactics from ashley, tell the world we're spending nothing and plead poverty to get some bargains..Well done!
  9. It would take the players very little to adapt to a 4-2-3-1 formation as they were playing virtually that formation all last season. Nolan was the attacking part of central midfield with one other midfielder pushing up, the wingers were our main points of attack with Carrol being our target. I would rather go for this formation and for Taylor to push up on the wing like enrique does whilst attacking: -----------------Krul------------------ Taylor---Willi-----Colo-----Enrique ------Barton------Guthrie-------- Routledge----Nolan-----Jonas -------------Carrol--------
  10. Sorry, badly written, doesn't hate "all" the LFC fans just the scumbags who nearly always turn up to foreign aways...
  11. My best mate is a Liverpool fan and he also experienced the thousands of fans rushing, stealing, being totaL aHOLES FOR THE CL FINAL. Said he hates his own fans (especially in Europe) and says it is nearly worse than the England away games... Makes me shudder.
  12. Sidney gvou on a free transfer this summer... Couln't we go for him? I know he doesn't fit the 5 year player type plan but...
  13. They are on a decent run and won't be a pushover. I would go for consolidation and a home win: ---------------Harps------------------------ Simps.----Willi-----Colo------Henry Routs----Guffas---Jailbird---Jonesy ---------Lovensy---Caroll
  14. Used to read the Guardian a long time ago, but like someone above said it's all ideological nonsense with articles always backed up by "anonymous" sources so that the lefty journo's can get away with any unsubstantiated shi**! Read Times now and seems to be quite balanced, also has Cualkin who is great
  15. Athletic Bilbao, one of the best away atmospheres and we are still well rmembered!!

    Big Money Offer

I think we would get more from the sale of Coloccini than from Taylor, there are still doubts about him at prem level so I would go for him at 10 mill and get two replacements for centre back and right back. Enrique and >jonas is a partnership that Hughton would be very stupid to break. Taylor would also fill in a problem spot at right back if needed...
  17. Saying that, he has been excellent the second half of this season... Please prove me wrong as I will devour humble pie!!
  18. Colo will struggle this coming season, being left flat footed will be his downfall. The strikers in the prem are one hundred times what we have been up against in the Championship. Look at our strikeforce, by premiership standards it's very poor and we have a huge goals for in this division...
  19. Has anyone spotted Prince Charles' lovechild in the middle of that photo?
  20. Lovenkrands had some "gilt edged" chances last night and I thought sheffield were toothless up front. There goal was a lack of fight and concentration from our marker, gifted him that header... A fair score I thought, although the defenders around Nolan suffered some "matrix" slow motion reactions whilst he scratched his arse, positioned himself, took a sup and then overgut kicked the ball into the back of the net. As long as he keeps scoring I'm not too bothered. He was all over the pitch last night regardless of how "overweight" he looks to some. Good shift! Hughton kept faith well when they looked a bit lethargic in the first half and they fairly dominated the second. I'll put it down to his half time tea cup tantrum Well done to hughton and good luck for next season, I am 100% behind him and would be dissapointed if another manager was brought in.
  21. Live streams in abundance (see more games) People talking about us and what we do. Getting up the rest of UK's nose when we win a few on the trot Getting close to winning against one of the big boys and feeling that we can do it for about 20 mins (at home...) Silly transfer rumours Will he sell? Will he stay? Will he sell? Will he stay? Will he sell? Will he stay?
  22. My opinion is that Chris Hughton deserves his chance in the premiership for bringing us back up. His good points are: -Backing of the players -Has created a team and spirit -Has two quite tangible plans of action for home and away -spent well and loaned well (van whatshisname was excellent cover) -No public ego and handles press well, doesn't let tricky situations override team work His bad points are: -I seriously think the team haven't played "well" until the last few games -Hasn't started playing the "right" players until now and had too much faith in the senior players (smith/butt) previously. -Doesn't often have a plan B or at least thats what it looks like with substitutions or lack of. To be fair his positives outweigh his negatives...so give the man some slack and get behind him for the season coming!
  23. Good Enough: Jonas Taylor Coloccini Barton Nolan Guthrie Routledge Harper Krul Kadar Carrol williamson Enrique
  24. We will stay up if Chris gets 20 mill to spend. No doubt about that. New players with right attitude, no big time charlies!!!
