Ok team selection bar rivière ?? He just seems to get over excited and hoofs it !! No composure at all !! Poor pick !
-
He's not being played because he's not signing the pitiful contract they offered him.
-
His intelligence and awareness are good as is his passing and retention of the ball which was a breath of fresh air after being frustrated by Tiotes waywood distribution. His positioning is also very good…. ok i have to admit he's not very Dynamic or eye catching in the same way as Sissoko, Cabella and Aarons etc are but still a really decent player that does the simple things well in my opinion.
-
Colo has done well for us in the past admittedly. Overrated by some i feel. He has been ropey lately and was really poor against Hull plus he's wants out at the end of the season anyway. Time to try Dummett and Williamson in my opinion.
-
Yes its all the Mackem mischief makers coming on here pretending to be this and that and tuning the fickle majority on here against all the local lads. Colback is clearly a really decent player ! Just because he's not foreign doesn't make him a bad player YA KNA ! Our best midfield trio this season was Abeid Colback with Sissoko ahead. Quite tempted with trying this though i must admit : Krul Wilo Dummett Jaanmat Haidara Abeid Sissoko Cabella De Jong Aarons/Sammy Perez Cisse off the bench. Colback would be in straight away if this didn't work or if Abeid, Sissoko or De Jong are out.
-
That is exactly the team we should play !! Got a feeling Gouffran who has been such a bad omen for us will start and also perhaps Rivierie, williamson and Anita.
-
Not 100% sure but apparently he has to report for training with Ivory coast on Jan 5th in Abu Dhabi so hoping in Abeids absence we can get a game out of him tomorrow and arguably Leicester on the 3rd as well if Abeid is unavailable.
-
Assuming my preferred players Abeid, Aarons and Ameobi are all still out and HBA is still going to be out of favour i'd go with: Alnwick Taylor Coloccini Janmaat Dummett Tiote Colback Sissoko Cabella Callum Roberts?? Perez
-
Yup that team pretty much picks itself ! Cisse to come on again just as he did V Chelski. God forbid he puts Gouffran or Rivierie in we'll lose or get murdered. Playing without the outstanding Sissoko will be interesting as he does seem to be our driving force. Glad Abeid is back though and will be interesting to see if he plays Sissokos role, but very disappointed no Aarons still. I'd like to see that impressive quick young Callum Roberts on the bench and given a cameo run out late on against tired legs too.
-
Clubs will certainly looking at Sissoko, Aarons and also possibly Perez, Tiote, Abeid, Colback, maybe Cisse and perhaps now Ameobi (as his contract is nearly up). So i wouldn't be hugely fussed if we kept what we had and signed no one. A world class right winger, striker and centre back wouldn't go a miss though. We could do with new contracts for Aarons, Ameobi and quite a few more.
-
I really like Colback ! He's not a spectacular player i grant you but he just does the simple things very very well i.e. he's an intelligent player, presses the opposition superbly well, collects the ball very well, passes very well, his positioning is excellent and tackles very well. Really was brilliant yesterday and has been most of the season. Ok to improve he could do with adding more goals to his game, thats the only thing missing really and i think they will come in time. He gets in the right positions especially for a defensive midfield player and i think he's capable of adding that to his game.
-
I don't think Gouffran is a terrible player far from it. But he is ineffective on the wing especially if we have three in midfield. Its no coincidence our form has come to a grinding halt since Pardew decided to play him instead of Cabella.
-
That's our best side available at the moment IMO. Saylor will start if Colo isn't fit. The King will fit Gouffran, Tiote and Cisse in there though. 100% agree with this. If Gouffran can't threaten a poor Burnley side he has no chance against Chelski. We really need Aarons but he's still not quite fit apparently.
-
Agree with this he has bulked out and massively improved this year. Quick, Skillful, intelligent player, more creative but does have an eye for goal too, 6'5 tall, tracks back well, looks much stronger than last season and he will get stronger. Definitely get him and Aarons a new contract ASAP For the 2 wing positions we have Sammy, Aarons, Cabella and Obertan. Which is pretty good. That young Callum Roberts looks good too i'd like to see more of him. Stop playing Gouffran there Alan FFS you really have fucked things up bringing him back and putting him on the wing.
-
100% agree with this. Absolute dogshite decision to drop Cabella and play Gouffran instead. It has completely fucked things up for us. Got a horrible feeling he may drop Perez next! Go back to laying two quick wingers, Perez up top and Sissoko, Abeid and Colback in CM FFS !! There was no need to stop playing two quick wingers and Perez up top !!
-
If he insists on playing Gouffran on the wing instead of Cabella i fear your right. Also if we sell someone like Sissoko in Jan things could implode just like selling Cabaye last Jan.

"Delighted" That Burnley side might be the worst that I've ever seen in the Premier League. We have some injuries but the squad wasn't that different from the lineup we had during our win streak. The squad wasn't. The team was though. I'm not normally one of these ridiculous over the top Pardew critics but it is no coincidence in my opinion that our winning streak has come to a grinding halt in the last two games since he has decided to play Gouffran instead of Cabella which is a complete dogshite decision. It has made a huge negative difference ! We don't offer enough offensively with Gouffran on the wing which then gives teams less to worry about and can push forward more. Was impressed with Sammy, Steven Taylor, Dummett and Cabella when he belatedly came on last night. Janmmatt, Haidara and Perez did ok just didn't quite go for them but they put in a good shift. Was unimpressed with: Elliott, Gouffran, Cisse and Riverie was terrible again What the hell is Gouffran doing on the wing again ? ...and Riverie who was dog s**** yet again back as well. Gouffran isn't a terrible player but our winning streak was simply resolute defending and pressing the opposition as a team when we haven't got the ball and attack with pace and sharp passing when we have got the ball. Sissoko powering through the middle, two fast wingers sammy, aarons or cabella and Perez up top. Gouffran has no place in that team at the moment. The only place i'd be tempted to try Gouffran is up top if Perez was injured and that would be a gamble. We only concede 1 goal in 6 and win all 6 in our winning run. But Pardew is now unbelievably trying to get Gouffran and Rivierie etc back in. I'd have much preferred Pardew blood young quick promising Callum Roberts than those two. Cabella made a huge difference when he came on. Cabella clearly should have started and we could have blooded young Roberts when Ameobi went off instead of Riveirie who was shocking yet again. Our team for Chelsea should be: Elliott? Taylor Dummett Janmaat Haidara Abeid Sissoko Colback Cabella Sammy/Aarons? Perez I am expecting Cisse, Gouffran and even possibly Riverie to feature though in which case we have no chance. Last night if we had started with Cabella over Gouffran and chucked young Roberts on for Sammy when he came off we would have won that game.

Not normally a big Pardew critic and before the West ham line up i fully supported him. We win 6 on the bounce playing basically three in the middle two quick wingers, sissoko through the middle and Perez up top and we defend really well as a team and them hit the opposition on the break with pace, only concede 1 goal in 6 games and win all 6. Why the hell change it by playing Gouffran instead of sticking with Cabella's pace? Absolute dog shit decision. Its not far off going back to how we were when we couldn't win for 6 games. Absolutely mystifying we need to offer more offensively and attacking with pace has worked amazingly unbelievably well so why the hell change it ? We still might have enough for Burnley but that decision is frustrating as hell ! -
I'd prefer Willo at the back marking Carroll he always does a good job on him especially in the air. Is Taylor back ? All has been very very quiet on Abeid, Taylor & Arrons injuries. I wonder if Pardew could spring a surprise and one or more could feature? With the players we think are fit and no updates i'd go: Krul Willo Dummett Jaanmat Haidara Tiote Sissoko Colback Cabella Sammy Perez I'd probably play Taylor with Willo at the back for this one if he's fit for the extra height against Carroll and co. Also i'd definitely play Aarons & Abeid if they were fit enough as they have both looked awesome.

Our team's incredible form seems to be built around very resilient backs to the wall defending when we haven't got the ball. We have only conceded 1 goal in the 6 games so it's undoubtably worked well! We then break with the pace of our forward players and full backs and also if the opposition pull players back to try to cope we push players forward and take control and pin them back. Six out of six wins proves this is working extremely well. Full credit to Alan Pardew and the whole team in this system as they are playing incredibly well. The below team is probably our best availiable team for West Ham Krul Willo Dummett Jaanmat Haidara Tiote Sissoko Colback Cabella. Sammy Perez De Jong isn't particularly fast and I can't see him fitting into the current successful system very well! Pardew seems to really rate him though so it will be interesting to see what happens when he is fit. The two players I'd really want back ASAP are Aarons and Abeid.
-
This team should pretty much pick itself bar Tiote in for Anita if fit. If he picks Cisse over Perez and Gouffran over anyone Looking forward to Abeid and Aarons getting fit again.
-
Sammy has always looked like he has potential but it has never really come off for him…… yet! This could be his year though. He looks to have bulked up and is a lot stronger on the ball for starters and he's playing really well at the moment. Great goal against Spurs, very unlucky to have only hit the bar against West Brom. He will chip in with goals and assists if he plays. He's very awkward and unpredictable to play against, quick, strong, big, very skillful, tracks back well, can hold the ball up well and is causing opposition teams problems. Better than Cabella thus far this season. i.e. I'd prefer Ameobi to be one on one with the keeper than Cabella at the moment. Ameobi is one of the players that has contributed to this great run we are on. Although in all fairness i think Cabella will get better and maybe one of those players that just takes a bit of time to settle in. Our best team at the moment is arguably imo: Krul Janmaat Taylor Colo Dummett Sissoko Abeid Colback Aarons Perez Ameobi
-
Think he and Aaron's are our best wingers so far this season. With Aaron's and Obertan out injured it has to be sammy on the left and Cabella on the right with Perez up top. Sammy has really bulked up and is looking much better than last season. I'd rather a chance or a one on one with a goalkeeper situation fell to him than to Cabella at the moment.
-
Sissoko is looking world class at the moment. His up turn in form has coincided with our whole team's upturn in form. Nightmare to play against him at the moment. Worried about losing him in Jan. Should be the type of player we try and hold on to. Especially as he's in contract till June 2019.
