Newcastle United vs. Aston Villa: 13/02/2022 @ 2pm (Sky)

I think Howe wll start Bruno. It's a short week. That's excuse enough to justify the switch. -
I don't think that home wins or away draws against the "other 14" make any difference. That takes us all the way back to Watford at home, which was two points dropped.

RAWK is worse.

I really have no idea what the staring 11 will be. I suppose Targett's absence and Burn's availability might lend itself to a back three? And a Shelvey - Bruno double pivot. And a bunch of other super sexy sounding shit. Let's stick with a 433. I think somebody has got to make room for Bruno. -
Yes. Don't think we looked at all like conceeding. They had a brief period of sustained possession, but that's because they passing among themselves around midfield. Didn't have a clue what to do.

Yes, and we've got to start thinking strategically. Let's not give any money to next season's rivals.

West Ham played Lingard as a CF at least some of his last loan. They've haven't any luck at all getting a striker. Maybe be back? (Surely, it would be beneath ManUtd to consider WestHam a genuine rival for that Europa League spot)

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

First words to pop into my head when I saw his vid: "Sammy Ameobi". -
It's phrases like that are going to endear us to the rest of the league. Every smug Man Utd ****
-
Would you really.

Dummett started at Leeds. Went off exhausted in the second half. Manquillo was demonstrably better. I can see why you mightve forgot all about Dummett. I think Lewis must be the one he doesn't rate. Wins the spot from Ritchie, goes down injured, and doesn't return.

What's in this for Villa? Not complaining. If I supported Aston Villa, I think I would.

Surprised.

Hope you are right. I can usually work my way up to being over-the-top excited with a few minutes of Dennis Wise scouting. But I'm not at all convinced. Hope I'm wrong. -
Some shit Youtubers. These guys are actually pretty good.
-
Botman and Lingard. Over the moon.

That means we're bringing in a keeper?

Everton will definitely be in it after Feb 8.

Love those Guineaese kits. Take Chile's kit and add green socks. ACON has been great. Every club I get behind instantly gets knocked out. I know absolutely nothing about Burkina Faso... A number of years ago (maybe 20 years) their was some kerfuffle about voodoo in the ACON or world cup qualifiers, can't remember. The coach or director of one FA had accused another nation of using voodoo to win a game. (They had cursed the pitch or something.) The manager of the accused nation responded by saying something like "No, we haven't used voodoo. Voodoo doesn't work in football. If it did work, Burkina Faso would win the World Cup." That's it. That's all I know about Burkina Faso; they apparently have a reputation. I wish them well. (And please nobody start a Dembele thread -- wouldn't want it jinxed)

I general, I don't really want a "galacticos" NUFC. But were we to go that route, I'd love it just a bit more every time we beat Man United. Don't know why, but I'd think it would be more satisfying beating them with a team of superstars. Don't think it mean anything against anyone else. To be able to outspend and overwhelm them would be great.

So this thread is a sort of TT VM now?

The Tifo Newcastle United Sensible Transfers video mentions that Bruno as an ideal player for us. Apparently, the resident expert ("Alex", the Southampton guy?) had previously identified Bruno Guimarães as ideal for Arsenal so this video doesn't talk about him munch. The Arsenal Tootenham video does. Spoiler: they discredit themselves by having Ritchie at LB.
