Yeah you would really expect us to ramp it up in the next few days, we won't want to go into a season with no available strikers. We'll overpay if we have I would have thought, Brentford and the like are probably counting on it.

I'd say the club will hold more sway with a player than the manager. If Jackson likes the idea of playing for Newcastle then he would come here regardless of Emery I would have thought.

I put very little faith in other clubs helping us out here. PSR suits unambitious clubs which are run along Ashley lines, which unfortunately most of the PL clubs are. I'm still hoping City winning their case means we can get round PSR with APT loans in the not too distant future.
