Spot on. Only thing we can do really. Good start to the season and we know Pardew is capable of sustaining a positive atmosphere and promoting team spirit when things are going well. I'd far rather we had a bad start and he got sacked tbh. My view is that a competent manager is crucial to long term progress. Backing someone who relies on wonder goals and bullshit is going to hurt us in the end. Get away man, you should never want us to do badly. I'd love it if Pardew proves me wrong about his ability. If he doesn't, he'll be gone soon enough. It might sound like apathy, but in reality we have little to no control over what goes on at our club, so just have faith that whatever happens, you should get your way. We'll either do well and keep him, or do shit and get shot, IMO. I doubt Ashley will put up with another season like that...as seen by the fact they had to have a big old meeting about how badly it went and eventually decide against firing him. His job was clearly in the balance.

Of course it is, this is just a bit of a laugh/reason for us to win. They'll get normal bonuses or incentives like anyone else.

I genuinely wouldn't say there was much between them, tbh. I've certainly never thought Debuchy looked slow. I think most of his problems against faster wingers have been positional.

Simpson makes the back line look more settled, while Debuchy has been s**** but gets away with it for being a new signing and French. Memory of a goldfish that, like. There was a period where he was playing rather well, and people talked about him being the best of the new bunch. Debuchy over Simpson any day. Thick people yes. I've already said several times he started well but has nose dived drastically. Simpson has looked defensively a step above Debuchy when he's been called upon. People saying Simpson struggled with Jarvis, I dread to think what he'd do to Debuchy who hasn't got anywhere near the pace to match. I'd rather not comment on the rest of what you've said, but Debuchy has some good pace on him. I've never seen Danny Simpson run past an opposing fullback.

I think Sammy's alright tbh, don't get where all the hate comes from! Good with the ball, fast, can shoot. Poor final ball and decision making but the kid has barely played first team football in his career.
