I doubt if it will be more than 3 and I'd be happy with that. Players take time to gel and you can't just throw in 6 new players at once
-
We had the best two full backs in the country then, Nattress and Kennedy

Football is constantly changing and I get he impression that Howe tries to keep abreast of those changes and tries to implement them onto his team's. It was interesting what he said when asked if he might play Wood and Wilson together. He said it was highly unlikely because playing with 2 strikers leaves too big a gap behind. It's not that long since everyone played with twin strikers in one form or another. This is my concern with ASM, I'm not convinced that he fits into the modern day top teams. He's a hell of a talent but the days when you could afford to have someone stuck up on the wing just waiting for the ball are long gone. Playing Bruces system suited him to perfection, no responsibility just wait for the ball then off you go.

I wonder if he practices giving it the thumbs up in training
-
Him and Barnes worked well together in the way that Burnley have always played. He has a different role here and often isolated up front. Credit to the lad, he stuck at and always gave 100%. At the time we had a choice of him or nothing and if we'd gone for the latter we may not have avoided relegation.

I don't know how people can say that he's not good enough for a top 4 team. That could be said of a lot of players if you take them in isolation but put them in a good team and they perform fine. Phil Neville wasn't the best full back I've ever seen but performed well in the Man U team. Beckham had a lot of weaknesses but his strengths complimented the team. If we'd had Messi last season under the Bruce regime it would have made no bloody difference to the side.

What amazes me is how Ashley could fail to see the potential of this football club and persist in putting the team in the hands of the likes of Bruce. -
I think that he is a really solid full back and seems like a real genuine guy. His attacking play is limited partly because of ASM being in front of him. A couple of times on Monday he was trying to get Maxi in position but it fell on deaf ears so must be frustrating for him. At the moment they don't really compliment each other but once Eddie gets Maxi sorted out it will be fine. As far as people keep saying he's good but we could do better, you could apply that crazy logic to everyone in the team. It takes time to rebuild a team regardless of how much money you have. We aren't going to replace everyone overnight and I'm more than happy to watch these owners build it brick by brick over a period of time. I think we will bring in a couple of new players maybe 3.

That picture of Amanda and Bruno is just fantastic. I can imagine her saying to him "I told you what it would be like"
-
I fancy us winning our last 2 games
-
I think that at Burnley, Wood played in a sort of twin battering rams type strikers with Barnes. With us he has been on his own, totally isolated, tasked with just trying to hold the ball up and be a general nuisance. He's worked his socks off but isn't good enough as the lone striker
-
His contribution has helped us avoid relegation so worth the 25mill. We spent 96 mill in total and those players have been instrumental in keeping us up. Bruno is probably worth 50% more now than what we paid, Taggart is a steal. Good business all round and a start to the rebuild which will probably take 5 years

For Howe to have a meeting with him and make a public statement tells me that it wasn't just a misinterpretation
-
I doubt if Crystal Palace would want him. I think it was Viera who got rid of him in France
-
Feel a bit gutted for Guardiola. He always comes over as a really good guy and I love the football that they play. I hope that they win the PL even if it means us losing on Sunday
-
I think if he had better players around him they could get pissed off seeing attacks breaking down because he won't pass it. Even when has managed to wriggle into a decent position his shooting has been woeful. I think he prefers to be a big fish in a small pond
-
Chelsea have been gash recently so no surprise here
-
The club's expectations are the sky's the limit but they won't try to do it overnight. As I've said, a lot of areas need improving and it's about solid foundations.
-
I understand that he is under some special training with Howe. Rafa brought the best out of him and maybe Howe can do the same. I'll be surprised if we bring in any more than a couple of players in the summer and I will be quite happy with that. The current squad under Eddie have proved good enough for a at least a top ten finish. Throwing millions at is very dangerous as we've seen at other clubs. There are lots of things to be done, new training ground etc and the club has to make money for the owners

Longstaff plays like the ball is an unexploded bomb. That chance he had which he put in tier 2. He just doesn't seem to have any composure any more
-
He passed it a lot more today but he gives it away far too much. Pisses me off when he fucks up then gives the thumbs up signal
-
Surely Joe isn't playing as a number 9
-
This won't be an easy game by any means. Norwich will battle hard and I just hope that we can maintain the high levels that we have shown recently

20 years and over 1000 games and he has not learned one single thing. -
People sometimes forget that when Howe came here it took a month to get the players up to somewhere near the fitness levels required for the PL. He wasn't my first choice but he's certainly convinced me and I hope he is here for a long time to come. Comparing his presser to Bruces is professionals versus amateurs
