  1. Sorry ,1 point behind Burnley but played 3 more games. 3 behind Watford having played 2 more. Either way it's looking grim
  2. I think that Shearer hit the nail on the head, we need 6 players. 3 points behind Burnley who have played less games. 6 points behind Watford who have played less games and both have better goal difference. I'm hopeful but it will be a miracle if we stay up
  3. I just hope the rumours connecting us with Martial of Man U are way off the mark. He's got to be one of the laziest players in the PL
  4. He is a natural defender and I'd like to see him at CB in place of Clark or at LB
  5. You can't expect Howe to set the team up for Bruce ball one week then Howe ball the next. He's coaching a system into them that we need to play every week for the players to benefit and get used to it. Given time we'll reap the rewards. If we go down on the way, and I hope we don't, then so be it. He was dealt a lousy hand and so was Amanda but at least they are here and we now have hope
  6. Difficult to improve defensively when you have no proper defenders. Willock has been a total disaster this season and on current showing we paid £19 million too much for him. The set up is much better organised under Howe and 2/3 decent players would make a massive difference. We don't need world beaters at the moment just decent footballers
  7. For two years we have just packed our penalty box, desperately defending and when we got a chance we just hoofed it upfield to ASM in the hope that he could get something out of nothing and sometimes he did. That was his only responsibility, hanging about the half way line waiting and hoping. It's going to take time to get this out of his, and some of the other players systems.
  8. It's all about the alternatives and at the moment we don't have any
  9. And guess what, it's with the same players that Bruce assembled
  10. 2 months ago people on here would have been forecasting that we lose 5/6 nil against a Leicester side expecting to be fighting for a top 4 place. Howe comes in and has to try and get a different tune our of the same poor players. He's doing as much as he can and the idiots on here are criticising him for not picking the team they want etc. From now until January when we hopefully get a couple of players in, every point is a bonus. Get behind the manager FFS
  11. It's just great to have a manager who cares once again and someone with some integrity. Winning trophies doesn't matter for now I'm just enjoying the ride
  12. I think it was Rafa that got Amanda interested initially
  13. A win would give us a massive lift and a bit of belief that we desperately need. Never easy against Burnley though, you know how they'll play and it will be physical
  14. Yeah, really disappointed that no players were thrown under the bus
  15. I remember reading something about Mitro where he told Rafa that he didn't want to use his energy up defending and wanted to use it for attacking. Didn't go down well with Rafa and I think that saw him out the door. Problem is that when you have a side with so many mediocre players the only way you can try to offset that is by work rate and organisation. If we dropped everybody that people on here want dropped we wouldn't be able to get a team out
  16. 9 points off 11th place. I think that Watford were well adrift when Pearson took over and he got them out of the relegation zone. True to form Watford then sacked him
  17. Under Rafa, no matter how good the opposition were, I never felt like we would get hammered. When we were left with Joselu as our main striker, Rafa kept it tight knowing that come the end of the season goal average could be important. When people go on about him being negative they forget that we didn't have a decent striker for a lot of the time so needed to play the way we did
  18. Be nice to win it but I'd be happy to just not lose it. Burnley have drawn the same number of games as us but they have had that 1 win so not a lot of difference
  19. His worry will be how to counteract Burnley's front 2 battering rams because they really are a handful

    Jamal Lewis

At Norwich he spent most of his time in the opponent's half going forward. Under Bruce he never got over the half way line so quite a big transition for him. Thought he did well last night and maybe he'll be better with Howes style when it gets going

    Jamal Lewis

Thought he did well, made a couple of good tackles and intercepts. Couldn't offer much going forward because of us being down to 10 men but I liked what I saw

    Joelinton

His performances last night and against Brentford have been fantastic. Two top notch performances in the last 3 weeks, none in the previous two and a half years. Says it all really about Bruce and co
  23. The problem is that some of our players don't fit into any holes. They've spent two years playing all over the pitch and with the exception of the goalkeeper and Wilson you'd have difficulty saying what their natural position is
