I can see at least a semi final one of the cups
-
I reckon he'll thrive on it.

Pens need changing. Managers should take the 1st and keepers the 2nd -

If it's any consolation as an Englishman in Wales it's friggin unbearable. Can't see them beating Portugal without Ramsey though -

I understand that, but then my other thought it "what if the deadwood is also shoyte at championship level? We will never get rid of them, so maybe best to peddle them now, rather than risk paddling with them later". Quite a few of them are out of contract next summer- Anita, Cisse, Gouffran, Tiote. Fuck knows what we will do with Saivet. Give him a go, he looked decent enough with what little we have seen -
It's 100% wrong to ignore the deep rooted damage that Pardew did to this club. He's as much to blame as Schteve. Basically Pardew was instrumental in creating a defeatist mentality right through the club that led right to relegation. It would have taken a Keegan or Bobby type character to turn that around within a year

Dwight Gayle (now playing for Hibernian)

He scored 13 in 29 (I think) playing for Peterborough. They're not exactly a top class Championship side and that was after him making a big step up from Dagenham & Redbridge. He's been playing for a God awful, negative Palace team and has been their top scorer the last 3 seasons. Despite limited opportunities and an absolute shitgibbon of a manager. There's clearly an argument to suggest he'll score goals for us. He's more experienced, he'll be playing in a better side and his stats suggest his goalscoring ratio, is in fact, pretty good. You would think he would start, seeing as what we're paying for him. But then again, with Rafa's favoured 4-2-3-1, I'm not sure where he fits in? So it may be a case of him being used in a rotation, or subbed on if we need a goal. Judging by his numbers. I think he'd be suited to a supersub role and have success for us playing like that. But I'm not sure we'd spend that much for a backup. Or that he would be keen on coming, if that's the case. I think it's a good signing, either way. A guy that scores goals when he gets minutes, is exactly what we needed. He's never really had much chance of finding form and getting a long run in the team, either. Without trying to sound arrogant. I do think people forget how poor this league is. Harewood got 5 in 15 for us. Lovenkrands was regularly on the scoresheet. Routledge looked like a beast. Got a funny feeling we'll be lining up 4-4-2 for the majority of the season -
Wenger? Gives both him and Arsenal a way out. Or maybe the Kings time has come.

Lose on pens tonight I reckon
-
Well thats his career done for now!

Mitro with 30+ goals He won't actually be our best player, but his goals will win him the award. Townsend is going to be the one pulling the strings for us

You really f***ing hate Italy don't you?! can I ask why? I f***ing hate Italy? Why the f*** you say that? I mean, this cynical way of playing... I don't like it. As a country, I must say that I had just one experience (and a bad one). But I won't say I don't like it because of that. My girlfriend went to Rome some years ago, she loves Italy. The most cynical performance I've ever witnessed was by a Portuguese winger playing in Italy, aided and abetted by a Portuguese ref. Conceicao I think it was.

Group B - Wales (Q), England (Q), Slovakia (Q), Russia

Was bad enough that I was going to have to watch the game on my phone (shit internet), I've now had a 2pm meeting scheduled. Did manage to have a bit of fun earlier this week though, all of the office asked for the afternoon off and as they are all Welsh I set them a simple challenge - apart from Gareth Bale name 2 players in the Welsh team and you can have the time off. 1 out of 7 are off this afternoon -
Group A - France (Q), Switzerland (Q), Albania, Romania

Up there with Taylor's effort that one -
Watching his interviews I love the way he keeps referring to how big the club is. So Anti-Pardew its untrue.

From F365's portrait of Alan Shearer. Feels a bit like that today

We've seen from the momnet he broke through that Krul has the natural tools to be a very, very good keeper. Certainly one good enough to more than hold his own in the Premier League. We've also seen him coached by Freddie Woodman and regress. Lets see if a competent coach can bring him back to the top of his game. My concern with Krul is keeping him fit. I'm not sure how much a change of coaching team will help here, he's not prone to soft tissue injuries, but more the larger impact type - and a shoulder/knee combo for serious injuries is a bad one for a keeper due to the numerous impacts both take during each and every game. If there is a genuine view that Woodman jnr is going to make it then I'd have no problem with Krul going and letting Darlow and Woodman fight it out over the summer, with Elliott to return as cover once the season starts. If there is any serious doubt on Woodman then we either need to keep hold of Krul or look to bring someone else in, but I'd prefer to wait to next summer and get a real top drawer keeper in once we get promoted. -
Potentially 2 clubs who have won the European cup and 2 managers who have won the Champions League in the Championship next year. How does the Premier League compare? 3 clubs I think, not sure on managers
