Just watched that tube clip, man we've got some difference makers in our team. Also amazing how comfortable Colo and Tiote are on the ball, its not just calmness, its cultured close control and wriggling out of positions. I'm getting excited about tomorrow now

Is anyone else not a little concerned that we're signing a DM from the Dutch Caribbean? He'll be the most chilled out DM in history, no Roy Kean or Paul Ince style agression!
-
To be fair though, we do only like him becasue he has done well and conducts himself well in the media. Had we gone down the season before last or had been lower-mid table last year as a fanbase we'd still be split on him at best. Agree on the context though, it goes for pretty much everything. The media report the event without the background to it all the time, really lazy attitude to take

I've had a quick google but cant find an exact list - but it would interesting to see how many right backs have gone for more than £7m - particularly those being sold across countries which usually are lower than within the same league

Chopra was the new Rooney when Rooney was still the new Rooney
-
Definitely. Grandad collar home - Gillespie (long sleeved), away - Ginola. The banana shirt just takes me to Saylor for some reason The gold away (or Euro) shirt is Kluivert, blue NTL away is Nikos D. Last season's all black number - Yo Cabaye, Orange Ben Arfa

Don't be shocked when the home team run out in red - its not the Wales team we're playing but the Bluebirds new home colours. Could be some protests about the shirt and badge change, but Bellamy signing will probably mute them a fair bit. Glorious weather in South Wales atm, bring your factor 25! -
You can flip it on its head (just look at Wolves last season or us for any previous appointment) when a manager is sacked and the chase for his replacement goes on in public, it looks horrible and amateurish. Its very likely that Pards has a confidentiality clause in his contract preventing him from saying anything about the talks going on before CH was sacked, so I have no feelings either way on this.

Why do I have a temptation to post Urby. Pls ?
-
Maybe I'm getting old and losing my memory, but going back to the 5-1 Mackems game where he looked the business... We didn't play long ball then did we? I've always thought he's a better player when its not hoofed to him and would fit our style of play now. I just wouldn't like to Marginalise anyone of Cabaye, Ben Arfa or Cisse to fit him in

Keep Carroll in the Carrlol thread
-
Taylor is still the first choice imo. I suppose CB is one position we could (and look like) strengthening for sub £10m just because of Taylor's injury record. If/When fit, he'd be expensive to upgrade on
-
Debuchy - Douglas - Daddy - Davide
-
Debuchy for Simpson? That's an upgrade on the scale of Fat Brian fro Westlife dumping Kerry for Delta. I honestly think now we would struggle to upgrade on any first teamer without spending massive dosh
-
You've missed Perchino of both lists there. Showed he's more than able to cover at either fullback position last season

Hannah, easily -
G-Bar in Liverpool is a Gay bar is it not? I know its worng of me, but the idea of Joey getting 7 shades kicked out of him by a couple of screaming Alan Carr's is hilarious

Cant see how the current Liverpool team will take to Rogers tactics like. Posession,Posession,Posession,Gerrard - 50 yard ball to no-one cos they were all on or behind the half way line. And start again.
-
So this time next year, swansea relegated and Rogers sacked. He's a sacrificial lamb to follow the king.
-
Simpson is the only first teamer who we can 'easily' upgrade on, and even then there's no guarantees everything will fall into place. After that we could probably get a better left sided attacker than Ba, but could we get someone who can play up top or on the left as well? We've lost a lot of youth players this year, would be happy to see no first teamers out, a full back and centre half in and then build on the underbelly of the club. Its a cliche, but we are adding Taylor and Marveaux to the first team squad post Jan as well

I'm getting a lot of red crosses, Shania Twain up yet?

Will we qualify for the Champions League? Sadly not...

Just a bit disappointed that we're relying on two of Everton, Fulham and WBA to do us a favour. I wouldn't want to rely on any one of them at any point of the season, all far too unpredictable -
I reckon Europa League and we'll see the leaked shirt, Champs League and something different for the home shirt
