Gerrard is world class. <Soz like> I understand why you'd not include him due to lack of International success, but does that mean the likes of Essien and Drogba should be disregarded here? Or what about the likes of Best, Cantona, Di Stefano, Litmanen, Weah, Giggs who never even played at a World Cup, should they be disregarded in laying claim to World Class status? Now I know the majority of them played for inferior teams than England, but Englands failings as a whole can be put to blame for lack of international pedigree. Drogba is worshipped like a god in the Ivory Coast, he's brilliant at international level. Colo's SAC didn't neccessarily mean success as in silverwear Isn't he worshipped like a god, because he's an absolutely amazing player playing for a nation that doesn't exactly have a massive history of producing world class players? Scoring goals against Burundi, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Benin, Libya etc when you're the main focal point of a team's attack doesn't really go alot to proving whether you're a top quality international player? Not that I'm saying Drogba isn't, but purely for arguments sake. He plays well for them consistently, be it against Holland or Argentina or whoever. Gerrard on the other hand looks a different player in the england shirt Answered for me before I got a chance to! I take on board the point about Giggs et al, but Gerrard has had the platform with England to really stamp himself on the International game and time and time again has failed to deliver. Best and Giggs looked good in poor teams, as do Drogba and Essien. Gerrard looks ordinary at best in a team who should be looking at quarter finals at a minimum in each tournament. Thats not being England-arrogant (I couldn't give a stuff about England tbh), but England are constantly in the Fifa top 10 and as such should be looking at not reaching the quarters as failure. If you look at Gerrards top match winning/saving moments, a lot of them involve cheating. Give me Barry/Carrick and Lampard in the middle for England anyday over the sly scouse cheat edit: not sure I'm liking the abbreviation to Colo's Sac like, its one step too far!

I hate seeing Gerrard on 'World Class' lists. Never done it at International level = not world clas imo. Not to mention the on-field thuggery and constant cheating whcih leads to his 'match winning' goals for Liverpool. Figo in his pomp, now there was world class. Ditto the real Ronaldo (albeit possibly on too short a time scale to be truly world class).

4 ITK's on 3 different forums. Don't go on KD's forum so I don't know what's been said there, but enough different people saying the same thing. Which basically is Huntelaar 'hopeful', Vieira practically finalised. Been a while since i looked at this thread..... what does "Practically finalised" mean ? Meant just that. Personal terms were agreed, just needed a medical. Then Henry said he'd never recommend anyone to Spurs, Wenger spoke to Vieira and it now seems like he'll be rejoining them. It's no loss not to sign him, there are far more fans against signing him than in favour, even if he is a leader whose attitude we could well do with. A 33 year old former great player now with injury concerns I don't think really improves the squad. Your midfield has never been the same since Davids left though. Class is class at the end of the day, 33 is no age for someone like Paddy 'Usher' Vieira, wouldn't need to play every game but gives the other midfielders someone to bounce of and learn from.

I would love it. Love it if we were owned by someone called Serious Manboob. Don't care if he didn't have a penny to his name

I actually feel dirty just pretending to be a Manu fan. Going to give myself 15 lashes to purify the soul

Wonder what will happen come the European Super League. Man U are a shoe in for it, can't see both Manchester clubs being invited. Not so exciting for the owners then is it?

I'm beginning to have doubts that Ashley wants to sell the club, but doesn't want/cant shoulder the financial burden to get us back up. The guy loves being the successful brash 'tank parking' retail superstar, the thought of him failing at running Newcastle United must gaul him sonething rotten. I reckon that if someone like Wylie came in with £40m for a 40% ownership and £15m for the team he would rip their arm off.

He's been misquoted to be honest. I've heard the recording of the interview and basically he says he really wants to stay because if he leaves I'm screwed for a new username yet again.

I've heard Kinnear is coming back

Hang on, does this porno exist? At least it was made post Holmes/Phillips

This is a classic example of what I was saying earlier. People believing one thing that is actually the total opposite of the truth. The NUSC has never once called for the boycott of games, in fact we've made it clear from the start that fans should be at the games. Should look at getting some of this information on the NUSC website. What NUSC have achieved and where people might have their wires crossed. To be fair the information on the site fails to mention any of there boycotts at all under past events. If they say what they have done in the past, what they are doing at the moment and what their plans are for the future people can at least make an informed decision if they want to join. And they'll see more changes in direction than a Tory policy. (at least the NUSC are on the right track now though...)

Notice Krul didn't get a run out. Suggests he is the No 2 in Chrissy Boy's eyes?
-
Who made that decision then? Reckon Butt called dibbsy on it
-
£12m!!!!!!? £24m on Milner and Downing! almost makes Michael Owen and Luque look like good value
-
The good thing about football? Playing it.
-
Remember his comments before signing Rooney? Spookily similar. If the right player becomes available he will be in there like a priest at a nuns convention
-
I would also harbour a guess that any party who has put a bid in has a clause which stipulates that it is dependent on no players being sold prior to the completion of a takeover
-
especially if it was cloudy

Also our players need to score more goals during matches while also letting the opposition on the day score less goals at the other end. I really think this would improve our chances of winning games. Does anybody else think this strategy could improve the performance of the team? No, we still have Nicky Butt
