You know that 2 points from 8 games stat he likes to wheel out about Spurs? Take a look at QPR's last 8 games - 2 draws (Wigan/Reading) and 6 losses.
-
Energy sapping extra time would go down a treat here
-
Probably not, but any half decent player will probably leave and assuming he continues with the style of management he had at Swindon I reckon the dross thats left will respond enough to do them OK in the champ.

Going down isn't destroying them? I'd love them to go this season but it's looking unlikely because of their GD and the Swansea score. Shame. I actually think he'd do alright in the champ and they'd be back up in a season or 2. A full year in the premier league however, his ego is going to destroy the club from within
-
One thing making me slightly hope Sunderland stay up - Watching DiCanio absolutely destroy them next year

Can't see Swansea doing anything tonight - on the beach, lots of ties with Wigan, no strikers bar Luke Moore (1 goal all season against guess who!?) Pinning my hopes on us beating QPR and Wigan/Villa losing to Arsenal/Chelsea. We're then matematically safe and we all drop a collective cow pat on Pards head

I think part of this may well be to discredit the tabloids now, knowing fine well that this summer is going to see a oat load of rumours about each and every player at the club
-
I can see both Villa and Wigan getting 4 or 6 points in their 3 games before they play eachother. Hope I'm wrong, but both have a fairly easy game in their runs and I would expect Villa to pick up at least a point tonight. We really need a win from somewhere, not sure even another point will do it

Soundbite Chairman.

a Williccini return vs West Ham? Wouldn't bet against a back 4 of Jonas, Colo, Willo, Simpson vs West Ham. Damn
-
So if Liverpool did decide to sell / Suarez decide he's had enough in the summer.... Who would actually be prepared to spend big on him? Can't see any of the top European teams going for him due to his discipline. Qatar maybe? :-)

Considering that the Europa League was always going to lead to a disjointed training program, why was pre season not set up to develop and embed a style of play to be used in all games for the reserves and first team to allow interchanging of players? On the same theme, why was there a staggered approach to the return times of players involved in the Euros? Even if they were not at full training, all players should have been involved in the majority of pre-season and not returning a week or 2 from the start of the league campaign. The poor pre-season laid the foundations for our season, and its no surprise that clubs who occasionally qualify for Europe suffer in the league due to a lack of foresight on the impact it will have between games.
-
What amazes me is that despite knowing that our season would be disrupted with Thursday games our pre-season started fairly late and our Euro Champ playing players seemed to arrive when the hell they liked. It seems to happen to all teams who qualify for Europe just on the odd occasion, to me it seems obvious that you need to get people in early to establish a method of play for at least the first third of the season.

Never mind watching Benfica - look at City's second yesterday - 4 or 5 players in the box attacking a ball from open play. We can only dream of that level of attacking support. For all we know our crossing might be world class, but with nobody in the box its wasted!

Need him in kill mode - target Macmanaman

Jason Koumas been mentioned yet?

One thing in their defense - although they make mistakes, they rarely repeat the same mistake. Learning (making it up in some case) as they go along, but definitely learning.

Not denying that the treatment of Keegan was shocking - but lets not kid ourselves that any other owners haven't shat all over club ledgends. SJH, his son and Mr Shepherd for example pretty much forced KK out with the floatation, sacked SBR in the worst possible way and who can forget Poppins gate? Inconvenient truths, Ashley not matter what happens will never be accepted by some due to the Kk man love factor. The Man Love for KK is justified mind, he's a huge part of why we're where we are as a club now. I just find it irrational that most things people hate Ashley for are replicated across the entire football world and would be replicated by anyone who came in and bought the man out
