Slightly worried, but only because the majrity of people reading these stories will believe them and there is a remote possibility of a self fulfilling prophecy winding out. From what I've been told about Ashley from someone who knows him, he sees KK as a key cog in making us a success again. Don't doubt that there are differences of opinion btw -- especially over players to go for, but confident that a good compromise will be met.

What are our player acquisition people actually doing?

Probably playing FM. Maybe we had enquired about Stokes in Jan then after watching him in the interim decided against persuing our interest? -
Could Modric and Turan play in the same midfield? Seems a lot of money to be paying out on two (seemingly) similar players. And their midfield will still be lightweight, need an enforcer in there

Didn't he spit on him as he turned away? Didn't see it personally but heard a few people say it happened -
I find it very interesting, personally. It'll be particularly interesting to see whether the new guy takes any different stances on things to Mort, and whether we'll be able to pick those up. Assuming it is Llambias, he may wish to put his own twist on things or carry on in the same way as currently. Both he and Mort are long-term acquaintances of Ashley, so they might be just taking his instructions. If Ashley aims to run us the way he runs Sports Direct he will happily let Llambias run the club as he sees fit (as long as it is line with Ashleys overall plan) as he only employs high level employees who he trusts can look after the businesses best interests

Daily Telegraph. Spurs linked with move for Henry. There's a surprise!

Could be a few pot-kettle-black comments in this thread I feel. All clubs have idiots attached to them who do this sort of thing. Pretty much guaranteed that if Terry had scored Manchester would have been trashed again.

You could put the exact same accusations against Gerrard in an England Shirt.

Karma. Drogba being sent off and Terry missing a vital penalty. Loving it. Glad that both Ronaldo and Lampard scored, both been (are) great players for their clubs and it may have been their last games for them. Nice to sign off with a goal. Also pleased for Giggs to score the winning penalty. John Terry mackems.gif -
Low door frames at the training ground, I hear. nah, bobby said we had the best door frames in the league he meant goal posts. you know what he was like It was a few years ago now though. We may have bigger door frames than most clubs, but other clubs have better door handles these days. Its a catch up scenario for us again I'm afraid

He was always meant to be an interim chairman. Part of the reason for the '3 Headed Beast' we have now in terms of J,V&W is due to Mort not being 100% comfortable in some of the chairman activities - particularly in negotiations. No great surprise, and when he does go I think he can hold his head up fo what has largely (although not 100%) a good job well done.

I wonder how many sentances it takes the Sun to make a reference to his brother tomorrow -

I don't think so, no. Innocent until proven guilty. Should have clarified! IF he is found guilty of twatting Dabo one, will his conviction for assault be taken into account in any sentance as the assault occurred after the inital ABH hearing? -

So can this ruling be taken into account for the ABH seeing as the initial ABH hearing was before any of this happened? -

Was hoping for 12 months. 6 months gets him out anytime between August and November, meaning we'll get excuses of 'Barton's back by christmas' if the transfer plan goes tits up. Got to add another 3 months onto that though to get him match fit. If it was 12 months at least we'd know we would have to go without for a season and plan accordingly. Still got the Dabo ruling though! -
They all look the same don't they. Er... Wasn't aimed at you, just the way everyone seems to be the new ... Sorry for the confusion!

Some friends of mine, who's spurs-fans, can't stop talking about how much dough they got.. They will make that money back when they sell Berbatov anyway. Not if they start offering him around other clubs, if the likes of ManU get a sniff that Spurs want to sell the price will be dampened abit

True. Transfers don't work like they used to anyway. If you buy someone you generally pay the balance of the transfer over the period of the players contract. Michael Owen being an example. For Michael Owen we are basically paying 208000 Sterling per week if the figures are to be believed. So its entirley possible aclub like Portsmouth could afford to do that with Campbell. It's no different to him being on 50k per weeek with a fee of 5m. Think you are confusing paying for a player and recognising the cost of the player in the accounts there No I'm not. Alot of transfers are conducted like that. Real Madrid still owed us money for woodgate when we got Owen so they knocked it off the fee. Edit: Also I believe you are talking about player amortisation which is not what you said. Each year you have to estimate the depreciation on the players value. I hope to god you are not an accountant, fundamentally wrong I'm afraid
