Has anyone heard anything about the forged tickets for Wednesday's game? Only heard a snippet on the radio, but it seemed that a few fans with genuine tickets for the away end were turned away as their seats had already been taken by forgeries

Posted elsewhere, but anywho... My boss knows Mike (and that ex Spurs guy Paul Kemplsey (sp) through a mutal friend - I've seen photos of them on nights out so that bit at least is true. He's a manc with no reason to make stuff up about the toon..... Keegan has '£100m to spend in the summer', but Mikes actual thinking is that there is no limit and £100m is just a figure to use in conversations. Deco was approached in Jan for either a loan deal then or permanent in the summer - he turned both down although the summer deal may be of interest if we make big signings first. Mike bought us primarly for brand extension - he reckons its more cost effective to own a club for ten years than to sponsor the likes of Blackburn over a similar timeframe. Sports Direct or any other of his brands will not be on our shirts as a first choice. The aim is to replace Northern Rock with another third party, Adidas is likely to stay for now. However if decent deals can't be made then we may get a Lonsdale shirt etc. A bit ITKish I know, but just passing on what I've been told

I think it's more about a sense/feeling about who you expect to deliver. You expect (that cunt) Gerrard to deliver when it matters. The key is to consistently deliver in these big moments because those are the only moments that will matter 20 years from now. That's why even though players like van Basten had a short-ish career, they'll always be remembered for their 'moments'. What's Ronaldo's 'moment' so far? What's any top footballer's 'moment' so far? I'd say that even Ronaldinho hasn't had his and will not go down as one of the greats. Great players have moments/tournaments which are forever associated with them. Eusebio had his 4 goals against North Korea as his moment, van Basten the wonder goal, Baggio with his incredible play in the '94 WC, Zizou the double in the WC final and the goal against Leverkusen - obviously I could go on but that's the gist of my argument. Only if its in a Liverpool Shirt and he can cheat. Gerrard is no where near being a great if Ronaldo the second isn't

Newcastle is as multicultural as London tbh. It might be as multicultural (well, it isn't is, it, by a fucking long shot, but that isn't the point), but its also nowhere near as interesting. Two points: 1) If London wasn't interesting enough for him,. NEwcastle won't be. LEts not get the pathetic provincial blinkers on about that. 2) Why the fuck woudl he want to come here? And dont say fucking Keegan. No player of his age gives a toss about Keegan. I fear we're too small a club for him. A player of Reyes age would know all about Keegan's Newcastle of the 90's. Not saying he would want to come here, but if he had any interest in football growing up he would know about Keegan as a manager
