  1. McCoist is such a good co-commentator. You can tell that he really enjoys watching football, doesn’t over complicate things and has a nice bit of humour. mind you id be as happy as Larry if I got to work with Laura Woods 3 days a week
  2. they probably are but we’re giving them no time at all to get a foot on the ball.
  3. I reckon the bigwigs can broker a deal for JWP whilst the game is on this evening, contract negotiations at half time and a medical as part of the cool down. Pose in the post game win photo to save on the publicity shots and bobs your uncle
  4. If Dubs leaves then I can see Karius being kept on and one of Forster or Krul coming back for the Scott Carson role
  5. Didn’t we ‘score’ from a rebound off a pen vs Bilbao but disallowed as the kicker knocked it on so double kick? We’re the kings of cocking it up, but not this time
  6. If a free kick hit the draft excluders hand (and it’s in the box) would it automatically be a pen? There’s no way you could claim the arms are in natural position for a football game
  7. If you are not registered in a 25 man squad then you should be automatically available for a fee equal to one years salary. Selling club cannot refuse an offer at that level. exceptions for players under the age of 21.
  8. From Cooper's pov he has brought in 2 senior players who have 'game smarts' after a year of Eddie.
  9. We've lost the fewest domestic games across all leagues now haven't we - after Arsenal lost to City for defeat number 3 (1 league, 1 LC, 1 FAC)? Our run in the LC balances out the first round loss in the FAC for number of games played as well so its an unfair comparison as if we had been knocked out in the first round of each cup
  10. So we now bait Man U fans that we have the best Bruno and the best Ant(h)ony?
  11. Let’s not forget that Matterface somehow managed to get Sawyer into his bed, on multiple occasions
  12. Because that's the direction they think is best for the team. I'm not saying they are wrong, and I'm not saying Gordon will be a bad signing. What I am saying is that I personally would prefer to have a different type of player rather than someone who in style is quite similar to what we have. I just like variety, Ginola and Gillespie were great as they had completely different strengths and styles whereas now we can replace Miggy with Murphy and style wise it doesn't give the full back anything new to worry about (unless they crumble under a wave). All about opinions
  13. Its been said before but this place would have been fun when we were signing Bellamy. Other than the hair aspect they are very similar situations For the record I'm on the fence as to whether AG will kick on and have a good career or last season will be his peak, but I don't think he is the type of player we should be targeting right now and a Maddison type makes more sense. I wouldn't be against seeing him right wing with Maxi on the left and Miggy as a number 10, or even try Maxi as the 10 and have 2 pacey wide players and Wilson/Isak create space so he doesn't get crowded out
  14. If we'd held out for 10 more days we could have rinsed £25m from Everton for Wood
  15. bowyer was found not guilty wasn’t he? Woodgate on the other hand…
  16. Love A-Ha’s version of Crying in the Rain. Morten was great on the masked singer, and who can forget their f bomb filled Radio 1 interviews
  17. Recently it is Bruno's last minute winner against Leicester. Not only a fantastic build and finish, but it felt at that moment that everything was definitely going to be better and the good times actually were here
  18. Best bit of that is that he looks initially like he's going to give a bit of hand shake then almost a 'nar nar nar nar nar' finger to the nose
  19. My main reservation about Gordon is a question on whether he is the right type of player we need now. If our problem is breaking teams down who sit back then a speed merchant isn't the answer, we need a lock picker or a posse of midfielders who can shoot from distance
  20. slightly harsh on Gillespie as he was the one who lost his spot in the first 11 really. totally fair to point out that the front 4/5 misfired second half of the season to a degree but overall we stuttered at a bad time, a red juggernaut came up in the rear mirror and we couldn’t find the right response that make the second ball fall for you etc. all of the games were close in the last 3rd of the season and could have gone either way, the bounce deserted us edit. take 2 of the games against City, Liverpool, Blackburn and Forest and give a one goal swing to us in them then we go into the final game with it in our hands, at which point I reckon we beat Spurs. You were really looking at 3 goals across 5 games that resulted in us coming second
  21. That’s the obvious one but even with the defeat there I reckon if we had held on to beat Blackburn we would have done it
  22. Easy way to stop this… Chang the FFP rules to be operating cash less 1/3 of transfer fees (so spread over 3 years) plus 1/3 of transfer income. takes away all the bullshit on spreading over contracts and financial judgments. transparent, factual and fair
