  1. Gotta love the beeb. can Newcastle escape the relegation zone today. well we’re 4 points behind Norwich so I’m going to stick my neck out here and say no
  2. not having ASM being a better dribbler. He’s got a more show boating style of dribbling but Ben Arfa had it stuck to his foot before deciding to give it a little nudge to power past defenders. Much more effective style. I like ASM and not blind to Ben Arfas failings but imo there’s nothing that ASM scores more highly on
  3. Loves an unnecessary thunderbastard from close range. can never get bored of watching a Hatem highlights reel
  4. I got laughed off the forum when I suggested this a couple of weeks ago. I stand by it, get him in for the rest of the season
  5. Just looked at Brentford’s results and there’s not many games where they have picked up points in that you would be confident of them repeating the trick in the return games. can really see them finishing on 30-35 points maximum and they are not safe by any stretch of the imagination
  6. It's really Leeds or bust. We've got a nice break after that game, can't repeat the McLaren mistake
  7. I think its now or never for Rafa to come back. We know he was definitely AS's first choice and that the consortium made tentative approaches before appointing Howe so there remained an ambition for Rafa to spearhead the revolution 4 months ago. So the question for them to now ask and answer is 2 fold - firstly if we are in the Championship next year who is in the dug out and then secondly do they have more faith in Howe or Rafa to make that question redundant. If the answer to the second is Rafa then they need a real long hard look into question 1. There is no value in keeping Howe if Rafa is the choice when it goes wrong and I doubt the consortium will be anything other than cool and collected in making the call either way
  8. So who replaces him then? Rafa if/when he gets sacked tomorrow?
  9. My only problem with Hurley is that she would insist on her son being there taking pictures. id live with that though, even if he wanted to use my arsehole to set his camera on. Maybe
  10. Willock will get his first of the season here. Wood to get a debut goal Fraser to pop one in 3-0
  11. Maybe not in volume of Goals but Les had a fantastic debut, as did Cisse
  12. For once I'm being a pessimist and assuming he is not going to be fit for the rest of the season!
  13. 19 games left, reckon we need to score a minimum of 25, more likely 30 to get the points needed to stay up. 8 from Wood 2 from Trippier (free kicks obv) 1 from Shelvey 3 from the centrebacks 2 from ASM 1 from Murphy Need someone to step up, make more from set pieces or bring in another goal scorer but Wood is a step in the right direction
  14. Listening to 5live on Sat it did seem like we threw a lot of crosses in. Keep Fraser fit and he can supply a good number and then we now have threat from set pieces with Trippier. not the worst option to have. also buys us a few weeks until we get PEA on loan after ACON
  15. I suppose the risks are (a) an injury or (b) the player downing tools. I'm sure that discreet talks will have been made across agents and clubs but nothing more than toe dipping
  16. Email from the club shop showing a 15 shirt with his name on. don’t think I’ll get used to this joined up thinking from the club
  17. Anyone remember Pizza rolls? Microwave pizza donut type things, nuclear hot sauce. pretty sure they got banned they were so hot
  18. If I was in charge of Everton it would be a loan with a view to a perm in the summer - keep him out of the two games we still have to play against them
  19. He sounds like a pirate as well. From the very limited snippets I've seen I think I'd prefer Alvarez but wouldn't say no to Barbosa
  20. But in the air we get to test his legs in Spain, torso in France and arms in the UK We're a global superpower now
