Do we know if the possible UEFA Cup game on the fifth will be home or away??

perhaps because including corners milner probably had 20 opportunities to put a decent cross in today and failed to do it once??? or perhaps our manager is s*** and cant see that with that kind of crossing style of play we have no chance when we are playing the likes of Martins and Dyer upfront Its up to the manager to tell the players how to play In the 2nd half we were still playing the same style of play and its Roeder fault for that you're right, roeder clearly told milner to never beat the first man with a cross, and put crap corners in. FFS!!! Perhaps not, but he's got a point that playing wide and relying on crosses does us no good with Dyer and Martins up front. They don't have the height to get on the end, even when they actually get a decent cross in to begin with. If we're going to put together an effective attack with those two, we need to build up our passing game and work on springing them forward through the middle. If crosses are useless, than taking off Milner was the right thing to do anyway. Milner's shit.

People complain about the fans being fickle, the only thing I see with this "good under Roeder" is pure fickleness and I don't buy it. We will see the old Shola, the one that contributes nothing in open play and doesn't get enough goals.

Dyer can play CM, he did it well enough before JJ arrived. Dyer played in the right of centre with Nobby on the wing. I know he used to do well there, but in our current team, that's not where he should play. Who did he partner in CM with back then?

Dyer Parker Emre N'Zogbia/Duff Martins Owen Dyer can not play CM, he lacks the passing vision that is needed and too often just takes the easiest option. However, on the right, he can use his pace to get round defenders and breaking in for a through ball. Problem is, I think we will see a CM of Parker/Butt and Dyer next season, as it's likely Emre won't be here come September 1st.

Interesting point. I know of a story where a couple were sentenced to several years in jail for kissing each other in a sacred square in the Middle East. Is it normal to kiss somebody in public, or is it normal to sentence somebody to several years imprisonment for it? Is normal different depending on location? I agree with you that he should have known better, but you can't expect a visitor to the UK to know of all the cultural delicacies straight away. If you think otherwise, it would be interesting to see you abroad, interfacing with the locals when you are on a holiday. How often will you unknowingly have "insulted" somebody because of a lack of knowledge of their culture? He's been here for 18 months though. Personally, I don't think that calling someone a nigger is that bad, especially when it's done by someone who isn't a racist. Bein fair, we did struggle though! we were poor last nite. Not saying we had a good game or whatever, but we didn't struggle. It wasn't like they ever came close to even being a threat.

This is very true. We only try to attack down the flanks and get a cross in. It's so easy to read for the opponents, and not effective at all. We need creativity in the middle, and Dyer is not the answer.
