Get the fuck in!!

Tooj is right. Give me two box to box players over a DM and an AM any day of the week.

I would love for us to go for Dick Advocaat, currently the coach of Zenit. They've got five games left of their season and it looks like they might be knocked out of the Champions League without even going to the UEFA cup. Could be a perfect opportunity to try and get him in.

Probably when my local club was relegated in 2004. Facing relegation isn't anything I want to experience ever again, it was a fucking mare, and I don't even care about that club half as much as I care about Newcastle. Dread to think how I'll feel should we be relegated. Newcastle-related, losing to Partizan was tough, especially looking back and seeing that that was the beginning of our downfall, going out in the UEFA cup a couple of years back is another one.

I'd like to see the mackems boycot this guy's businesses, they'd fuckin starve to death.

ironically everyone said, when viduka was injured, that he wasn't the sort of player you need in a relegation fight. ultimately it was his class, and also the quality of martins or owen, that pulled us out of the relegation positions, not the grafters like milner or smith who had us down there in the first place. I'd walk on broken glass to get those three back up top again, with Barton, Gutierrez and one other in behind them. Very good thread by the way, with some cracking points in it. Yesterday was turgid in terms of football quality and for all you can blame conditions and the nature of the game, these are professional players coming off the back of two decent results who should be better and should know better. The lack of movement is the main issue for me, though, and will hopefully be resolved to some extent with the return of Gutierrez and the axing of 2/3 of yesterdays midfield. I don't believe Kinnear is deliberately trying to get us playing "long", although by the same token he's hardly a proprietor of beautiful football either.

Their luck has to run out soon.

Toon boss Joe reflected on the game: "There wasn't much between the two teams. "They shaded it, just with a magnificent strike really" He added: "But generally we did very well. "We kept the ball well, we passed the ball well we created opportunities. Admittedly we were chasing the game, but we had them on the rack. "I'm disappointed obviously and so is everyone else in the dressing room. "This is one game I really knew I couldn't afford to lose. "But I will have to pick myself up and the players because now we have a massive game in midweek against West Brom. ""It's a must win situation for us on Tuesday night because nobody likes the position that we are in at the moment." Worrying if he thinks we played well.

He deserves a chance....Like Luque.

Aye, it's almost as if some of us are from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. What a stupid f***ing thing to say. What? Now that was a stupid thing to say. Blaming the system, the owners, Kinnear etc is bloody stupid and pointless. They pretty much had their strongest team out and we didn't even come close. I think we would have beaten them easily otherwise. We played alright on the whole and they played well. But hey let's play the blame game all over again! That's so much more fun! I blame Owne for having muscle tissue made out of tissue paper! I blame Freddy Shepherd and John Hall for selling the club to that evil non-Geordie Mike Ashley! I blame Keegan for being a stroppy little man! yada, yada, yada, yada bollox. Two players (Owen, Viduka) from our best team. Sorry, but you can't blame injuries on this one. Jonas got 15 mins because he only just returned, as did Barton. If they are fit enough to play the 90, we win this game easily imo. Beye still isn't quite right either and Martins doesn't look very sharp. How would we win it easily? When they'd both probably be bypassed anyway with the ball being aimed far beyond their reaches. This. And there is no excuse for Barton not being fitter than being able to play five minutes (I'm 100% confident he was). Jonas could most probably have played at least thirty minutes, he's been in training for over a week, and with a shoulder injury he should have been able to keep his fitness in his legs.

But he scored!!

FYP, though I know that's more than one thing

Never lived in Geordieland (yet), but I'm very much feeling that fury. Don't know whether to be happy or sad that I got them genes. Glad I won't have to go and work with a bunch of cocky inbred mackems on Monday though.

Paul Merson is a fckn pr*ck - Tyne / Wear derby not a big game
Nobody replied to Jay Jay Sea's topic in Football
Couldn't care less what some Cockney twat thinks of this game. -
Good point, that sub took almost a minute to complete.
-
That's what you get when you play Ameobi, tbh.

Jonas, please stay fit and keep being awesome. A couple of times today I thought "he's got absolutely no one to pass to", yet somehow he found a man with a clever little pass.
-
Just fuck off you useless cunt.

We stopped playing the long ball and moved up the pitch as soon as we went down, both times today and on Monday. As soon as we equalised today, we dropped deep again. Can't help but thinking that's down to Kinnear.
-
One of two positives today. It's been a while, but I'm proud to have his name on the back of my shirt again.

Got a lot to answer for. We hated Allardyce for playing negative, yet some are defending him? Sorry, but I don't get it.
