  1. Everton 3rd kit. Undecided if it's nice or a bit too 90's Leeds home kit.
  2. Booed for half his career man. Absolute tripe. Seriously. That's utter rubbish. Him along with the whole team were booed for a couple of games about 7 or 8 years ago, including Fergie. All I said was that Fletcher means a lot more to me than Cantona does. Cantona was class man, but give me the dedicated one club men any day. Big game player in quotes by the way? Fletcher won numerous top four clashes basically by himself. Even scored the goals in some of them. There's nothing mythical about it. Being a boo boy doesn't mean you are literally booed every match
  3. Lukaku looks to be on the move somewhere...
  4. Fletcher over Cantona? Fletcher spent half his career at Man Utd as the fans' #1 boo boy. They also gave Ferguson stick for picking him all the time when he was playing crap week in, week out. When he eventually came good the fans built up this myth around him being a "big game player", gave him cult hero status and acted as if they'd always rated him. Now Froggy has taken it to ridiculous levels. Definite mare.
  5. It's not disgusting when Southampton have been willing sellers in every case. They haven't fought to keep any of these players, only to have their asking price met. The new TV deal and the fact they have a mega rich owner means they weren't under any financial pressure to sell. They obviously are looking at a buy low, sell high strategy. Better yet, some of these players are academy lads that they think they can replace from within. Whether they will still be competitive next year is another matter but that's the gamble they are taking. I won't be shedding any tears for them.
  6. He's a really good player on his day but his attitude and commitment aren't the best. Great buy for that price though.
  7. Richardson isn't a bad signing for a team that's bottom half and doesn't have much money to spend. Cole and Senderos were much worse acquisitions. Villa needed a left back after Bertrand's loan finished and Richardson has played ok there for Fulham over the last couple of seasons.
  8. I'd take him. Would the dressing room be big enough for two such ego's as him and Pardew? i'd have him on a 1 year contract in the hope he lost his s*** with pardew and went public tbh Did Roy Keane officially join Villa? Don't see him and Bendtner working together ending well.
  9. Risky Business. I'm not too worried about the 3yr deal for Barry. He already moves slower than a glacier, so it's not like his legs will suddenly go and his performance levels will fall off a cliff. He was an ever-present last season too, so there's no injury issues.
  10. Has Faye left? Not a full-time staff, was here only for last pre-season. my mate's a fitness coach - worked with some of the womens teams at the London Olympics and is with WBA at the moment . has been approached by nufc in the past but says any decent coach wouldn't touch us with a bargepole. lies, broken promises and trying to do things on the cheap. he would rather commute to the midlands than work on his own doorstep. Well Dave Billows is a very good coach. Was at Everton for about 10 years until Martinez took over and changed the staff. Tony Bellew came to our training ground all the time to work with him as well. Really sound lad too. Met him a couple of times through my brother.
  11. You actually believe that? We sold Fellaini for £27m and the Mirror think they can run a story about £25m + Rodwell for Barkley Luke Shaw has just gone for £30m ffs. I love this myth that has built up about Rodwell's career too - that he was a great prospect and a first teamer at Everton whose career stalled when he joined City. Fact is, he had already been found out and become nothing more than a rotation player at Everton. We were happy to sell him as soon as City made an offer that was much lower than the fees talked about a couple of years previously. City wanting to buy him was a shock to most of our fans in the first place. Rodwell has all the talent and athleticism needed to be a top class player but his mentality is way too soft, even aside from the constant injuries.
  12. Coleman's signed a new 5 year deal with Everton
  13. There was only a limited range of Nike training and leisure gear available compared to say, Arsenal, Man Utd, PSG etc. They also supposedly had a hand in the badge redesign fiasco last year. I believe it was the same story when Villa had Nike. No doubt if NUFC signed a Nike deal you could expect a shit update of the badge to be forced through and a limited range in the shops so they can concentrate on the 'big clubs'
  14. Was surprised that Origi got in the World Cup squad over him. I'd never even heard of Origi but there's been loads of hype about Batshuayi.

    Emre

Everton player iirc. Most including myself supported him as well, feel dirty. Shame he hasn't actually gone to prison mind. Think it was Yobo, if I remember. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-452822/Lescott-I-stood-principles--Id-again.html Whole episode was pretty shameful tbh with NUFC defending him and their approach to the hearing, PFA doing nothing about it and the FA ruling being a cop out. He should have been banned like Suarez.
  16. Lescott was excellent for us and initially had a good time of it at City too. His career went down the pan when Mancini dropped him (for Savic!) just after his partnership with Kompany had helped win the title. Since dropping out of the first XI at City he's struggled for form whenever he's got back in. I think he'll do ok with regular football at Hull but I'm doubtful he'll get back to his best and he'll be on big wages.
  17. Yeah, I thought Okore looked a decent player. Kozak is just a big donkey.
  18. Man Utd have got absolutely no chance of signing McCarthy. He won't be going anywhere.
  19. Him or Malky Mackay. Wouldn't surprise me if Moyes took the Celtic job for a few years while his reputation in England is toxic. Win a few mickey mouse trophies, have a crack at getting out of the CL groups each season and then come back to the Prem with his CV looking better.
  20. I think they should just cancel the World Cup if Landon isn't going to be there tbh.
  21. Sunderland, Cardiff, Norwich. Mind you, it will be interesting to see how Villa perform after the strange moves with their backroom team this week.
  22. On the contrary, Everton are being hammered by every media outlet under the sun for having the temerity to loan some decent players and possibly gatecrash the CL party which is reserved for their select favourites. The more successful our league campaign has become, the more we've been criticised until open season was suddenly declared on the entire loan system by the media and other managers. Nobody cares that Liverpool have a player on loan from a title rival, that Arsenal started a loanee in a vital league game last night, that more than half the league has loan players, that Man Utd won the league with Tevez on loan, that Lukaku performed just as well last season for WBA etc etc but you can't open a paper now without reading about Everton ruining football by unfairly loaning 3 good players.
  23. No, just cheating in favour of his favourite team as he always does. Scandalous he's allowed to ref their games.
  24. He's a good player but you'd have to say he flopped even before the incident with Fonte. £13m for 3 goals in 13 games.
