I agree, better today. Some nice, calm moments.
-
I find it so weird we can have such different perspectives. In a match where everyone else played well I thought he was totally anonymous until the last twenty minutes, when he did play some good football.
-
Yeah, I got £450 for it and five months later the bloke was selling five tyres
-
I used threat too many times.

Milner is nowhere near Robert in attacking threat. Slower, less powerful, less of a threat from a dead ball. I agree that overall he's a better player and has had a better career, because of his attitude, versatility and work rate, but he doesn't hold a candle in terms of threat.

Wonder which bit of it VAR will check

Have you been watching a totally different game? He looks shot man. He can't pass the ball more than five yards. If he did play that pass to Murphy then it's his only high point - I thought it was Bruno.
-
Longstaff is so terrible today
-
No way that's offside. What a finish.
-
Ah, it finally makes sense!

Not sure I agree. He's been mostly rubbish but there have been some more bright sparks than in recent weeks. That through ball to Joelinton. The pull back to guimarães. Even some of his aimless dribbling in the box has the potential to win a penalty from a rash challenge.

?

He's the new Emile Heskey. 7 goals in 62 starts for England, but provided the structure of the play.
-
Is this a joke? Awful.

Honestly no idea why people are still 2s now. For me we're a zero. At most a 1 if you're of the 'mathematically safe' frame of mind.

Jeez, I've seen it ten times and still thought it was Wood until I read this comment and watched it again. I thought it was the most impressive thing Wood did all match as well.
-
Brilliant, wasn't it. Brutal header. Compared to Wood's

There is no medical difference between fracture and break.

I guess it's hard to rate him objectively. I agree he's our best attacking player, and would definitely start him every week. But today was one of his worst performances I thought, in terms of both attitude and outcome.
-
Best sub performance I've seen in a long time today. So composed when we needed it most. Raphinha went from lethal to anonymous.
-
Again I feel like I watched a different game. Of course he has quality and is often the match winner, but today he spent half the game whining at the ref and overlooking his teammates (great ball to Willock at the end aside).
-
Looks very slow, and lacking finishers' instinct, but gives us an extra dimension. Won a lot of headers, held the ball up well. Definitely needs pace around him, and not a long-term solution.

Glad the last few comments seem a bit more positive. I felt like I must have watched a different game. He was end to end, constantly giving us an extra dimension and breaking up play. I thought he was our best midfielder today.
