Would be funny to get a new strip and have 'elby' printed over the top of 'onga'

It is an absolute stain of a town like. When I worked at Doxford Park everyone went on and on about arranging a team lunch in some place called the Stables nearby, as apparently it had this fantastic reputation. We eventually went and it was nowt more than a bog-standard pub/restaurant (like a smaller version of the Twin Farms at Bank Foot Metro without the beer garden), but the way the slackjaws were going on you’d think it was the f*cking Savoy Grill. This is one of many examples (I was there 4 long years), as its a place where mediocrity is lauded...basically, if something isn’t utter sh*t, then its fantastic. Saying that, I am jealous of that new bridge they’re building, that is a genuine world-class piece of design. They are not going to build that bridge anymore, too expensive.
  3. Are taxes lower in the North East? Just curious if its location centric like over here in America. Not that it really applies to the topic at hand. Taxes are exactly the same but the cost of living is much higher in London. The one thing Fulham has is PRIME property on the Thames. The ground would be worth a huge amount if it was ever re-developed for housing or offices.

Forget the spider, its the snake at your back you need to worry about.
  5. Can you imagine how the cunt will pronounce that name ??
  6. I hope he is reading this one. Personally I would like him to fuck off and die.
  7. For a fat bastard and a multi-millionaire, Ashley really is a very small man.
  8. Its beginning to look like we will have no scouts very soon, if the papers are to be believed.

    Kevin Keegan

If I remember correctly, Kevin Keegan had a very good relationship with the Sultan of Brunei. ( one of the richest men in the world). I seem to remember him attending a match and being presented with a shirt. So if you are reading this forum,Kevin, how about giving him a call, and buy Ashley out, you become DoF, and sort this mess out.

I am praying for a ''Matthew Harding'' event.

Alternatively, (and this is real long game conspiracy theory ) Ashley gets rid of Kinnear and we are SOOOOOO grateful just to have Pardew in charge.
  12. Only one way....... and you know what it is.

    Alan Pardew

Its not REALLY Pardew. (just someone with a passing resemblance to him) Hope that helps.
  14. Desperate, as we are for some top quality coaching staff, what about RENE MEULENSTEEN. Not wanted at Man U by Moyes.
  15. What the fuck does Pardew do to them at half time ?? Do you think they all have a couple of spliffs before they go back out ?

Can't argue with any of this.

I am a little disturbed that they are looking for a saviour at Easter. The whole club could be resurrected by Sunday at this rate.

Ex-Mackem. He is a still Mackem not an ex-mackem. Changing his colours just makes him a turncoat, nothing more. Now the embarrassment is seen to represent Newcastle supporters.
  20. I would be surprised if we see him play for us again.

thing is there's loads of springfileds, theres only one sunderland (thankfully) and thats too many. my nasty town here in the states has a sunderland st. but no newcastle! yeah but you have to remember where the name comes from, it's a mix of sun and under-land, the sun under land is like a dante description of hell. I've been and thats not far off. It actually comes from the land that was cast asunder years ago. The locals of the time left the area and it became the 'Sundered land' the ''land cast asunder''. Bloke who I used to work with was pretty hot on his local history. He may have been wrong but that's his version of it. It does mean 'Sundered land' but in this case 'sundered' means separated. It was part of the Monastery lands belonging to Monkwearmouth and as such was separate from the surrounding area

200 views & nothing? did i woosh myself? It's commonly said that the first 'Derby' between us and Sunderland was the Battle of Bouldon Hill in the civil war. Newcastle Royalist and Sunderland Parliamentarians. Sunderland won. No idea what it is you've posted. The Battle of Bolden Hill was, in fact, a battle between cavalier force stationed in the castle of Newcastle. Against an army of Scots with a small compliment of looters, ne'er do wells, whores and camp followers from the Sunderland area. The final result was a score draw. Both sides retired after skirmishing.
  23. NUFC 3 v 2 Sheffield Wednesday. 9 April 1969. Was a Wednesday night game. (and yes, I am an old bastard)
