  1. Deliveries so bad today he could’ve got a job for Evri. Rare one in fairness but utter shite today. Got done by their little winger in the first half too. All in all, one to forget.
  2. What an addition he's been!
  3. Let's hope this comeback comes minus the shit Mexican/3pm craic.
  4. How can that be fair FFS?
  5. What's the craic with them and FFP? Has Abramovichs historic spend all be written off or what?
  6. West Ham also bid for him last summer I think. He's one I'd have loved at NUFC.
  7. I don't know. I get the impression every bit of comms has to get signed off by him first.
  8. It's an interesting one this....You get the impression that both Murphy and Wood are good eggs and, despite their major limitations, they'll be happy getting the odds minutes here and there. If we sign someone like a Thuram (or anyone else of his calibre really) at what point does the risk of upsetting the balance and camaraderie of the squad become a bigger factor than the (obvious) upgrade in quality for the sake of 10 mins, here or there, every week? If you look at our squad when it's fully fit, you'd have to say we're probably only a couple of signings away from being very very competitive in every area of the team and, I think, that's perhaps going to be Howe's biggest challenge next season. Players that are levels above Murphy, Wood etc expect to be playing.
  9. The clubs social media game has improved so much since Ashley fucked off. It was ridiculous the minutae level of detail/control he had over EVERY element of the club. Fucking do not miss Keith Bishop being his fucking Goehbals wingman either, the cunt.

    Alexander Isak

Had this conversation with a mate earlier this week who was very much of the same opinion as you BUT don't forget, that incredible run we went on at the end of last season, was with Wood in the side EVERY week so I think we'd have to trust in Eddie to make that work again if the scenario was to reoccur. Wilson is only ever a week or two away from a long lay off but, with Isak getting closer to being back on the pitch, that gap is closing every day of both Wilson and Isak being out injured together AND you've got to look at Wood and say, for all of his shortcomings, he was an integral part of the team that pissed survival from a position of near nailed-on certainties to drop.

    Dele Alli

Admitedly, I've not watched the Spurs documentary but I can't recall him doing too much wrong outside of football for people assume he's a bellend. He's always seemed in pretty good nick, fitness-wise, you never see him looking like he's carrying weight or struggling for fitness. I'd like to see him turn it around. It's a huge shame for him to end a career, written off in Turkey, where people only ever play for one last pay cheque. I'd be interested to see how he'd fair in the MLS given he's much younger than the typical England International who winds up there for a few quid and nicer weather for their families for a few years (Gerrard, Beckham, Robbie Keane, Rooney etc). Would be an interesting experiment to see if a younger, still in his physical prime, player of that quality could rip the MLS up. Might be a nice way to get his career back on track too...
  12. Not at all provided we add a quality youngster or two. I think Howe (who never gives much away...) kind of inferred this might be in their thinking in his presser the other day. Gut feel is we'll get Ashby and Perrone and I'd be delighted with that tbh.
  13. He's class, this fella. Due a goal too.
  14. I'm not sure people are being 'fickle' tbh. Just some legitimate debate around his merits in respect of systems/style of play since Howe's arrival. Not seen anyone saying he's a bad player or that they dislike him but it's fair game to question how he's going to fit particularly when he only 'returns to form' once a month. What he needs is a run of form, a run of fitness and a run of 'fit' in the team to stop any chat about it tbh. That's on him, not supporters.

    In memoriam

Lived 0.5 miles from my old house. His family did a lot to support local grassroots football and, though a private bloke, he lent his name to good causes often. RIP.
  16. Yep - it's as blatent as fuck, it's just Caulkin with Shearers name at the top
  17. The very definition of don't meet your heroes. He was superb, hidden behind the veil of the Times, only unleashed for public consumption every now and again. The more you hear him, the less likeable he becomes.
  18. He still sounds like a work experience kid man. Talks at a hundred mph, gets dragged into the inane bullshit the other two spout and has zero gravitas.
  19. And fucking Taylor Payne wheezing like a fucking old kettle between every word. The harsh truth is that none of them are any good at it. Needs a serious refresh.
  20. Good shout. Great bet that. Well done.
  21. Only a booking off now?
  22. Can you not cash it and do a seperate double on the remaining/open legs?
