  1. It’s a two way street for me. I genuinely think his career is over here. That’s not hyperbole it’s purely that he’s sooooooo limited technically and everyone has seen just how bad he can be, there will now be a predisposition to him. I hope I’m wrong by the way but I cannot see how he develops a credible career here and, if he does, then massive respect to him.

Aye it was a mess but surely they could’ve found someone with similar fundamentals for a shit tonne less than the £55m on a 29 year old with 18 months left?

That’s where I’m at with him. The overpay is a massive shame because it, along with the overpay for Elanga, impacts us in future windows. That’s the point I’m making. Staveley said we couldn’t afford one slip up in the transfer market. She was right.

Has 18 months left on his deal at Brentford.
  5. Totally agree but there also comes a point where he’s got to offer something. Anything. £55m and he couldn’t look less like a footballer if he tried. He’s been fucking appalling.
  6. Shite tonight. This felt so different to just a mere couple of years ago. Honestly feel like entitlement has crept in. Utter dogshit lately. If folks can’t get up for a cup semi final there’s no hope.

    Nick Woltemade

Not strong enough and not nasty enough. Great technical fundamentals but will need a shit load of development to be effective sustainably. He’s done incredibly well to have the goals tally he’s got and that’s probably saving him from much rasher judgement imho.

29 and had 18 months left. Impossible to justify that sort of commercial decision making imho.
  9. Feel really sorry for him that him and his coaching staff have put so much time and energy into developing Isak only to have their hands forced and then being immediately on the back foot with signings last summer but, fuck me, our recruitment in response to that Swedish Cunts strop, requires a serious post mortem. To have successfully made such a good profit on Isak and then immediately BLOW it, is such a missed opportunity it’s unbelievable. Like heartbreaking. And, whilst I’ve got tonnes of sympathy for him, I’d fucking kill to have an honest from him on what the fuck him and his scouts saw in Elanga. That useless bastard was first through the door. The only number one choice they fucking got! How can anyone have watched him, as a professional scout, and thought he was the answer to anything other than ‘How can we best waste a shit tonne of money?’ I will never know.

Played like Papiss Cisse tonight. The one currently playing for Wythenshawe. No shit, tonight that was like watching an over 40’s player whose knees have gone. Painful. Clearly not fit, nor sharp. Fucking mental amount of money for a bloke who’s gonna have to pull up trees to ever get close to justifying it.
  11. Even in an optimistic sense, where he actually turns up once a month with a goal or assist, we’ll be left watching him for the remaining 3 weeks play like he has to date. This cannot work. He can’t work here imho. It’s already verging on cruel watching him try. Like watching a friendly dolphin go for a swim on the beach. Feels like the earliest a massive money signing has had their career written off at NUFC but I think it’s over for him here tbh. I can’t see a way back from this. Everyone has seen the worst of him and will be waiting for his every fuck up. The club need to jettison him asap before his value completely plummets.

Could go right to the very top this lad.
  13. Have a lot of sympathy for him after the events of the summer. Have a lot of sympathy for him given the lack of structure above he’s had to manage for the last couple of years. Have a lot of love for him for everything he’s done for us. Have a lot of sympathy for him with the Wissa injury basically forcing him to accommodate Woltemade which is a bit like trying to build an airport whilst you’re midair. Forced to try to change the way the final third functions whilst playing millions of games and having no time on the grass, which is where he does his best work imho. With all of that said, some of the away performances have been woeful, some of the signings look poor and I agree with the sentiment that perhaps the players could do with hearing some new voices on the training pitch. He’s a really good bloke who I hope can turn things around. Hes going to need a BIG January.

Was ill in the warm up according to Howe.
  15. Riiiiiiiiigggggghhht. Get it. Very good tonight. I’ll have a pint of whatever you’re drinking Rodders.
  16. If that’s your level for being satisfied then fair play. You’re fucking mental. But fair play. Their keeper didn’t have a save to make FFS.
  17. Utterly bizarre take this. We created fuck all against a team that ceded possession for 45 minutes. A poor poor team they are too.
  18. Nowhere near enough creative enough. Nowhere near enough good chances. Nowhere near enough quality. No clue how to play against a low block. That was a SHITE Man Utd team too. Fucking awful. If the Mackems finish above us, we’ll never live it down.
  19. Aye. You were. There’s nothing ‘unreasonable’ about concerns ref; riding two of our most important players into the ground. It was an eminently sensible observation. Shame you were predisposed to defending Howe where there was no direct criticism of him. Let’s leave it there. I’m sure it’s boring for everyone else now.
  20. Which was responded to and then you went on some bizarre rant about ‘this always happens when things aren’t going well’ . Which had fuck all to do with the point being made and all to do with you seemingly thinking it was an attack on Howe.
  21. See earlier in the thread (this page) with Captain Sensitive seemingly thinking I was making some form of jibe at Howe due to legitimate concerns around injury management and, yet, you’re saying the same thing.
  22. Can you please stop with the unnecessary jibes for the sake of it? This always happens when things aren’t going well.
