Why can't there never be a numpty to deliver some civil justice when you actually want them to.
-
Did we just skip HT?
-
Ref processing the possibility of being able to not give a penalty there. Lynch the fucker during HT. Bring in just a slightly less corrupt pig for the second half.
-
They are due a loss, we are due a win. Joelinton will boss their puny midfield. Hedging it by putting a bet on man utd to win. Nailed on draw.
-
Kinda feels like joeyt won this one on a technicality.
-
Certainly did In that case, I have to agree through gritted teeth. Nobody deserves to have the word "best" attached next to their name based these last couple of months.
-
Barnes and Bruno, arguably Woltemade too despite his second half of the season. Take away Gordons penalties and goals against inferior opposition and he's barely done anything of note.
-
Gordon easily our best attacker? Get the fuck out of here.
-
Birminghams keeper completely out of it after a head injury. Bet he doesn't remember anything when he gets into the locker room.
-
Still gutted for him that his volley didn't rip the net. What a hit.
-
I like the thought of it. Look forward to hear how it went.
-
Even if its not guaranteed, it's still why we bought him and were prepared to pay way more than any other club were willing to. It's only natural that he will be judged on the expectation of what he was supposed to deliver, whether he is to blame or not.

Giving a lot of credit there to the poorest german national team we've seen the last 20-25 years.
-
Impossible to say anything about those minutes. Was hoping he'd try to impress by carrying the ball a bit when he had time to do so or attempt a cross..anything. He just recycled the ball quickly with easy back passes under no pressure.

Haven't caught up with the post match discussion, so maybe it's been done to death already, and I feel dirty for even saying it after such a big win, but the performance didn't really convince me that much? 2 penalties, 1 set piece, 1 gigantic individual mistake and 1 deflected shot. Considering how open and poorly they played, I was sort of hoping for more goals from open play? Based on how we played, I don't really see any indication that our performances in the league will improve unless Howe plans to use Dan Burn in a Pirlo role.

I've just accepted that we'll never buy a decent Norwegian after the Per Ciljan Skjelbred links back in 1755 never materialised. A 50 year old Ronny Johnsen is the best we'll experience in my life time. Sad.
-
At least the fans could cheer for Villas goal, and the game could flow much better instead of checking for red card against Murphy, or what anti-var nonces?
-
I think you're right, but Schar and Burn also lacked that at 24. Will be interesting to see if Thiaw and Botman are able to step up and take the reigns so to speak once Schar and Burn have moved on.
-
He's been back from injury over two months now, and have had 18 appearances in that time. It's starting to become an Isak level of "no pre-season" comical Ali excuse. He should be given more time imo, but it's dissapointing we have to give him this time considering he was supposed to be our most plug and play purchase of the summer.
-
Assume it's for team balance rather than performance.
-
If the entire team had shiftet further up the field when the ball was initially cleared I think we avoid that. Collectively we are lazy and invite a massive amount of pressure on ourselves. Especially when defending a lead.

Zubimendi is probably the best example of why Arsenal will win the league this year. While they're obviously a good team, they've had a lot of margins on their side, like every single long shot Zubimendi has tried has gone in. 25 games in and he's already scored more than in any previous season before. I don't think he'll ever have another season like this.

I think it feels a bit worse than it actually is right now. There's still the possibility that some of our new players turn it around, and there is also the possibility to recoup a fair amount of the spend by selling them on (albeit at a loss you'd expect) so we're not bogged down with nothing to spend in line with PSR for a mini re-build. As long as it happens fairly quickly, I imagine there will be plenty of clubs in the lower half and newly promoted that will be willing to take the risk on Elanga, Wissa and Ramsey. It's a set back, but it doesn't have to be one we cannot overcome.
