He's too good to become the new Isaac Hayden/Jack Colback/Jeff Hendrick where we're forced to loan him out every season until his contracts expires. Granted I've not seen a great deal of him, but from what I have seen, he seems to work hard both ways of the pitch and (especially for his age) is quite strong and fast, the holy trifecta for a Howe player If you've got quality on the ball on top of that, which he seems to have, you're golden.

Yes. Exactly the type of player we should be looking at. 21m seems very low though for a player of his ability, nationality, age and potential with 2.5 years left on his contract. Don't know. Depends how much we can spend and what it means for other positions, but provided we have enough to get a right footed CB in too in the summer, I wouldn't start questioning if it was senseless spending until we got north of £50m.

It was really only the two seasons prior to this where he regularly played at LB. Unless you mean that he has played at LB far more than CB for us specifically, in which case disregard this entire post Interestingly enough, he has never lost when playing as a winger ( ). Won 1-0 away against Liverpool in 2021 and drew at home to Burnley in 2019. Can't help but feel Howe has missed a trick here.

I mean...everyone being fit, he probably wouldn't get many starts here either. He'd be starting in a majority of teams in the league if they had their best CB out with injury. Burn has been very solid this season.
