Would be a wooful signing

This is exactly what I was talking about last week and was called up on it. If you don’t do things you want to do just because of Ashley, then ultimately he wins. Just take her. I’ve taken my 3 year old twice this season. He’s loved it, even though we lost both times. I want to have that bond with my son, and I want him to fall in love with it. Ashley won’t be here forever, and life’s too short not to make memories with my lad. Ultimately he won’t remember whether we won or lost or whether some fat bastard was ruining the club. He’ll remember the buzz and the noise in the stadium when we score, and the day he’s spent with his dad. Ashley isn’t taking that away from me or him. Not specifically aimed at you, but I’m sick to the back teeth of the attitude on hear that you can be a better fan by not going to the games. Get over yourselves. Accept that ultimately it’s an emotional decision for a lot of people. Sure, if you take all emotion out of it, the correct thing to do is to stop going. But like it or not the emotional connection is huge for a lot of people. They are not mugs or thick or Ashley sympathisers or whatever. Everyone’s different. He doesn't "ultimately win" if you don't get to do things you want to man The things and sob stories people make up to justify giving this man money.

Good to hear. Reaction time and awareness is (fingers crossed) most likely something he can improve on as he gets more experience with the tempo in this league compared to what he's used to.

Straight shooter

Norwegian live text provider has Ritchie down as playing LB in this formation with Ayoze as right midfield ----------------------------Dub--------------------------- Yedlin----Lejeune----Lascelles----Clark-----Ritchie Ayoze----------Longstaff-------Hayden---------Atsu --------------------------Rondon------------------------- Is this correct?
-
Yeeeeeea think I'm going to pass up on the opportunity to watch this one. Hope Longstaff has a good game.
-
Inb4 he plays through injury and makes it worse and ends up being out for the season.
-
I think that's a little harsh. While some of the goals could come straight off a defensive blooper reel he does show good, intelligent movement and instinct to get into the right positions to take the chance. His finishing with his feet is canny too even if some of the headers are fluffed a bit. Maybe it is a bit harsh, but I'm struggling to see what he is supposed to offer us that we don't already have or what could make him tick on as high level as the PL. He has no qualities that stick out as very good and he hasn't had a sniff at first team action at the age of 19. Time is running out fast.
-
Doesn't look like anything special tbh. Bumbles headers in that should be struck clean, gets some chances that you'd never get at PL level due to abysmal defending. Not particularly big, fast, technical or anything. He's playing league 2 matches at best in a couple of years and should not be tested ahead of Joselu.

Such a dominant formation, I'm surprised none of the top managers have adopted it. Oops. Take out Barton then

Martial injured again? Not even in the squad today. Took -4 just to get him in this week

If we can assume that it would be the players at their best form while playing for NUFC, and that it doesn't matter when as long as they have played under Pardew my team would look something like this: Krul Debuchy (Williamson/Taylor/Mbiwa -doesn't matter) Coloccini Enrique Cabaye Tiote Barton Ben Arfa Nolan Ba Carroll

Norwegian league is finished and won't start for another few months. Maybe it could be a loan deal of some sort?
-
It means that they don't agree on the important things, but agree about all the relatively meaningless details.

yawn. Wish it was 1st. Feb 2019 so we can go back to normal. Been really good at ignoring this thread so far but its getting harder and harder with the constant activity in it.

Exciting round this with Brighton playing Huddersfield and Burnley playing Crystal Palace. -
I clearly remember the booing. It was embarrassing. It's happened to other players too when it seems bizarre and unjustified. I suppose we can reconcile that by realising that if 500 people in a crowd of 50,000 are audibly booing then that becomes the story. It's the 50th time I've made exactly the same point, but James Milner was booed. A player who always put in his all and didn't even want to leave. If he's getting booed you've got no chance. It's not just us either, it's the modern football fan going blindly tribal and it's a right shame. Don't think it was as much the player that was booed as the decision to play him over other choices. He wasn't very good for us. A carthorse on the wing that did more back passes than Damian Duff. He couldnt beat a man and his crossing was poor. Maybe if he had been tried more centrally for us like when he was at his first loan at Villa it would have been different, but at the time I thought it was a no brainer to sell him at that price provided we got someone better in.

Crazy video. 14 goals and about 10 of them are absolute crackers. I probably enjoyed the very first he scored against Everton the most, although it's nowhere near the best of course. Still can't believe we had a player of such natural ability and threw it away. If Pardew randomly knocked on my door right after I had watched that or similar HBA video I might have tried to choke him to death.
-
Hard to argue that he isn't at the moment.
-
I'm so out of touch with football these days (thanks Ashley). Who tf are Gomez and Chillwell?
-
Nah, would just end up with everyone having the same players Had Salah as triple captain this week. A bit dissapointing but still ended up with highest score in all my leagues this week
-
Wish he'd had stayed at Newcastle and that the entire team was built around him.
