You say that but Man U didn’t want him anywhere near their team last season, Howe replaced him basically first chance he got, and under Bruce I never saw a goalkeeper remotely better than lower half of the table. He’s shit, and I’m angry we’ve persisted with him for more than half a season when most of us had it sussed in December that we couldn’t afford to see out the season with him saving fuck all / staying glued to his line.

We’ve got too many players who know it could be their last chance to succeed in that situation, frankly. Professional, dedicated, likeable but ultimately short of the required quality and winning mentality. Unfortunately they all need marginalising or binning off if we’re going to progress.

I’m not sure anyone is doing that. It was a very typical away performance for us this season; disjointed, always vulnerable to concede, unable to control the game / kill the game and consolidate for periods when we needed to, midfield absolute awol defensively and offensively. 17 points on the road is pitiful. On the other hand I remember we’ve had Dubravka in goal for more than half the season.

Why did we spent £40m on him to be behind Murphy and Almiron in the pecking order then? Jury is out but it looks like a lazy signing.

Can’t absolve him completely. Maxi gone so we could spend nearly £40m on Harvey Barnes to sit on the bench behind Jacob Murphy? There’s time for it to change but that’s a shitshow.

If he was better than Isak be safe to say he’d have been snapped up by another club long ago.

Is it really bad to say he’s an honest lad with OK basics and good effort but ultimately doesn’t have anywhere near enough influence on games due to the fact he’s not that talented? Either way he’s not the answer and shouldn’t be starting games next season. Loan spell and see.

If he ever starts for us again after Sunday someone should be sacked. Woeful.

Bit harsh, but defensively he’s been a bit of a liability this season and that will only get worse. I’d be pissed off if I was a RB losing out on an England spot this summer in favour of him.

True, mind. Love Eddie, happy for him to him to be in charge next season but he’s got it massively wrong last 2 games and pretty much all season away from home - 17 points from 18 games! He’s not ruthless or clever enough in fixtures like this and he has to improve. Sincerely hope he does.
