  1. You can bet your house that at least one of Taylor, Coloccini and Williamson will be a nailed-on starter next season and another will (at worst) get a good amount of games. There's just no money to be made from any of them, therefore they'll stay until they retire or show some bollocks and question those above.
  2. It never does, though. All of the results that'll keep us up this season have occurred with our midfielders (and some 'attackers') holding the hands of the defence. I don't think it sinks in with some on here just how fucking useless our defence is. In the last 3 seasons I bet we've conceded more goals than any other PL side, or come pretty close.
  3. Problem is. We simply cannot stretch the game from the start like that because: a) We don't have the goalscorers in the side to take advantage of it, especially with Cisse out. b) Our defence cannot cope with being exposed. Ever. During their prime as a partnership, Williamson and Coloccini oversaw 5 goals against Spurs, 4 against Wigan, 5 against Fulham in the space of about 3 months when we were trying to take the game to the opposition. Obviously Pardew and Carver are incredibly negative bastards, but until the issues at the back are sorted there isn't a manager out there who'd be comfortable with us going gung ho.
  4. Perez is the type of player who ultimately helps with build-up and getting the best out of a goalscorer. Putting him alongside a workhorse would result in zero cutting edge.

    John Carver

    They're both just quite retarded.
  6. You know fine well, though, that the game will be spun as a big positive by Carver, some of the players, some of the media, and probably a section of the fans, who thankfully I'm nowhere near.

    Sunderland

Burnley are a point behind, no? Then again, I guess Sunlun are almost guaranteed 3 points from their next fixture.
  8. Discuss what you want by all means. I don't want it regulated as I wouldn't want your mouth glued shut in real life. It is, however, pretty pathetic people still want to make Alan Pardew a topic of conversation on an NUFC forum 3 months after his being appointed at another club.
  9. It is pretty pathetic that this thread is so active, mind. He's capable of winning games in bunches, he's a better manager than Charver, and he probably has a better squad to work with at Palace. None of it's new, none of it's really worth much discussion.
  10. You can't turn anyone over without goals in the team. That's before you even consider how useless we are in defence.
  11. Arsenal's performance in that second half was one of the most disgraceful things I've ever seen on a football pitch. They were second to absolutely everything, running around like they had lead weights taped to each limb. If that was a League Two game or lower I'd be utterly convinced it'd been fixed.
  12. Wenger's a joke, like. Crying out for a sub and he sits there shaking his head like an incontinent old bastard realising he's forgotten to wear his nappy.
  13. Who cares, man? The more teams above us the better. Ideally 16, obviously.
  14. Steven Taylor on Talksport: "We'll want to see more of the same second half."
  15. He retired in 2004 when the likes of Carrick hadn't even made much of a name for himself.
  16. Supporting him isn't working. He's a bigger nutter than ever. End of debate.
