Try and justify this as much as people want because in my eyes, we started this window with a £35m kitty and promise. This has dramatically whittled down to next to nowt despite adding to the squad with free's and letting out top scorers go. I'm sorry to be negative but you kinda can't help it when you're adding the Obertan's of this world whilst Ashley's advertising campaign of SJP is revamped and oh yeah, fantastic, the training pitches have some undersoil heating. There is no excuses for me. And don't get me started on the LB position because risking losing your only senior player (and he wants to be away) with 25 days to go with no backup is suicide . They have had since january to do the homework on all these areas and if anything we are weaker but richer - typical Ashley-ran NUFC.

looking on the .cock website plan it looks very close to being a sell-out -
One of the 'sad attention seekers ' carrying the banner was keith barrett ,someone you lot would probably deride as an 'uberfan' - oh i forgot ,he hasn't missed a game home or away for nigh on 30 years and for a lot of this time he lived in Bristol.

Rumours of yet more Keegan & Ashley talks to come...

This whole thing is just crap now. We, the supporters repeatedly get punched in the gut time after time after false dawn after false dawn. Mike Ashley is not a football man, he is neither a Newcastle man. He will never understand how to run a football club, nevermind our own. He has brought his mates in for a helping hand and this includes Wise, a man whose position controls transfers and lessens the manager's authority. If he is telling me that a man who managed Leeds in a crap division for a very brief time and captained an average Chelsea for a few years is a better judge of player than Kevin Keegan who brought Shearer, Ferdinand, Lee, Batty, Ginola, Tino, Gillespie, Albert etc. and with it the most exciting football for years and finishes of 3rd, 6th, 2nd and 2nd with Champions League football after saving us from the brink of old division 3 in a matter of 5 years - then he is a bigger fool than I thought. Thing is though, he has had the choice twice now over who he wants at this football club and both times it has been Wise over Keegan. Keegan would be back here in a shot if he had transfers and no DoF over him. Ashley is not a football man but he is no mug and he needs to take the sting out of the venom from the fans. A publicty stunt like this appearing to chase Keegan will work for a while until what?? We bring in one of Poyet, Wise, Ince and the like. Ashley has most likely made compromises to get Keegan back because his 'Business' - NUFC, needs Keegan to get the customers - us, back on his side. I don't know what the hell to expect next, but the only thing I want now is 3 points against Hull City. In an ideal world for me, Ashley will be gone soon, but for some reason i feel that will take some time! -
Coloccini and Ashley's Evil Master Plan (Mua Ha Ha..)
wor jackie replied to TRon's topic in Football
But they have Evra and played a full season. How many times did Enrique appear on our bench this and last season? If two sets of management see him day in and day out and he doesn't start more than he's on the bench they must be seeng something we don't. And if we can't get a specialist full back to a club like NUFC then I look firmy to the people responsible to player recruitment. -

Ashley worked wonders getting that left back we've needed for 5 FUCKING MONTHS. The squad has quality but is tiny and has been filled with unproven premier league players. And at what cost? A profit actually! Well done Mike, job well done! -
" We are the loyalist football supporters , the world . . . . . "
wor jackie replied to kane2005's topic in Football
This has never been a question of getting behind the team. We're doing this because the heart of the team has been ripped away by a clueless bastard. His input for tansfers has been embarassing and it's time for the fans to stop being the butt of the joke AGAIN. So for all those having a go at the protestors, carry on enjoy the Ashley era but for those who care about the direction of the club, sometimes there comes a point where something needs to be done. The team will be supported, it always has, but Ashley MUST see the hatred for him. -
The Arsenal system would be ideal, but in this fast changing face of football, we need to act quickly to catch up and spending big will only allow us to do that.

I have just read an article on newsnow which raised a good point. I would link but I don't know how! Anyway it raises the point that in the official magazine of nufc, Mike Ashley says, "If the deal is right - and that means the right player who Kevin wants - then we will do that deal. Kevin is very particular on who he wants." But now the club argue, "It is a fact that Kevin Keegan, as manager, had specific duties in that he was responsible for the training, coaching, selection and motivation of the team.'' NO MENTION of transfer movements. And Keegan's resignation culminated round the transfer situation in which the LMA has now pointed out, ''Kevin Keegan's chief complaint, amongst others, is that it was always agreed that the director of football could not impose a player that the manager did not want". It is very apparent we have an absolutely clueless owner dictating to run the club whichever way he wants, and I'm not sure he knows what that is! His ambition and commitment to the club is questionable due to the fact that in a year and a half, we have spent ONE MILLION net on transfers! He has cleared the debts but it seems this has been done so that potential investors could be attracted to a club with no debt. Please please sell you southern tit.

Does anyone out there have any kind of confidence in Ashley at all?
wor jackie replied to a topic in Football
It must be said he's done tremendously well to help Keegan get the left-back he was after for four months! -
With fans like us that fill their ground to 52,000 most weeks after 40 years of no trophies, perhaps the inaccuracy of a word's spelling may be excused?

The only thing pathetic is the whingers who have to mock the fans every chance they get on an internet forum. Showing your pride and anger and not letting the joke of an owner run free from blame is far more important than staying silent on the capitulation of our football club in my opinion. Correct there will be a few there who will not be the most intelligent souls about, but there were more people than just that. Blokes, women, children even elderly people were there, and are they 'pathetic mongs'? No, they are supporters of Newcastle United and we are not a buch of easy-goers who will let our club be run as a joke once more. They are there to get rid of the regime dragging NUFC through the mire becasue the last time I checked, these aren't great times. GAN ON LADS AND LASSES, PROTEST YOUR HEARTS OUT FOR THE LADS!
