  1. Maybe its an age thing or something, but it really pisses me off people on here calling people mongs when they support their team, i'm 52 now and have missed a handfull of matches in any comp since 1979, i ,and many many like me have been through the seymour regime ,the mckeag regime, such illustrious managers as richard dinnis, bill mcgarry etc etc. this was all watched in one of the worst grounds in the country, with no cover on any standing areas for years. As a bit of a lurker(mainly due to a pathetic typing speed ) I've noticed on average there is about 1-200 ish members regularly on here, with a small number of posters telling other fans who have attended for years that they are a cancer on the club and other tasteful comments, the thing i find strange is that when john ( a lad i knew quite well from hundreds of away games) got murdered going to new zealand to support HIS team everyone was saying what a brilliant fan he is, but because we support a club who has a very strong hardcore ( all similar to john, although he took it further than everyone)and like me will never miss a home game , we are mongs and a cancer on OUR club. As i said i knew john quite well and he would never disrespect anyones opinion, but i honestly think he wouldnt have liked the abuse and the sp campaign. As i say ,it might be an age thing and maybe i've been worn down over the years but i find it incredible that people on here and other social media want us to lose and find no pleasure in us winning, i also know that a certain 'superfan' as some of you mockingly call his like would never ever ever want us to lose. Yeah I think its an age thing. You're probably right!!

  3. weird you are all really fucked up.
  4. 286-0, personally i dont like all the vilification and hatred of him and although i think he's good, i dont agree that ben arfa is this footballing giant that's portrayed on here and other places , but , and its a big but, i now think pardew should definately go, to sanction, or allow Ben Arfa and Mbiwa to leave with no replacements is footballing suicide. Like i say, i'm not in this hang him high mentality, i'm 51 and have been through Richard Dinnis and Bill Mcgarry, 16,000 average gates etc etc but I've never felt as low about my beloved club as i do now, i just pray he and especially Ashley would just go.
  5. 3 out of 4 aint bad. Ahhh man , you've got to believe man, its why we go.
  6. Full house , canny weather, few pints with the lads, cannit wait!!! oh aye 3 points anarl.
  7. Charming, on today of all days.
  8. Lovely lad Shola, met him once , really canny , you may have a negative opinion of him as a footballer but as an arsehole, never. I personsally dont rate him that highly , but, the kid did play through injuries when others would bottle it
  9. Get a grip man. think about what your saying.
  10. Whatever we receive for Cabaye, there is no chance on Earth all the money will be reinvested on transfers (see Andy Carroll saga). To lose a great player but replace him with 3 promising replacements would be acceptable but not with this club. Being 8th under Mike Ashley is possibly the most dangerous position as a fan for us to be in.... no targets, no threats. SALE TIME!
  11. After recent seasons of finishing 13th, 12th, 18th, 16th etc. I don't quite get the furore about finishing in and around 8th.
  12. Only about 5 tickets left!! 104,000 fans in 4 days, canny that like.
  13. Love some of the newer chants for the players. especially cabaye and debuchy, the new one for williamson is class,BUT, why do we sing so bloody fast, it stops the songs going around the stadium ,they just fizzle out. If you listen to the european and south american fans the songs last for ages and go right round the ground, our start at a normal pace and build up to a frenetic pace so no one can join in,
  14. He just cannot keep it shut this lad. Last year in a relegation battle he utters his discontent to rock the boat and now on the back of two wins and on the eve of a would be hat-trick, he does it again. The shame is he's our leader but in fairness his injury record is poor this last year or so.
  15. Whats the craic with the proposed new ground? If they ever moved to a new ground & could arrange to play on a friday night I think the crowds would be ok, I know quite a few lads in the Whickham area who have said they would probably go if this ever happened, we went once to the international stadium, it was horrible (can't remember the game).
  16. It all highlights that Pardew has absolutely no idea regarding any of the big players going, too. He states that the transfer team conclude all incoming deals, but insists that we won't let anybody leave unless it 'blows the doors off'. Well Alan, that will all be down to the transfer team my friend won't it. He knows nowt.
  17. He said it was ridiculous, all the blokes were like 'here we gan' when he came over. Apparently he was reaming off names of French strikers we were interested in and asking for opinions on them. Nobody had heard of the fuckers and then JFK would simply move on to the next one in hope of approval. Never felt jealousy like it before, would have killed to be present as I've just reached the point where I find the bloke comical gold. Bit of a shame it's at our club's expense...
  18. Uninteresting yet true story. Mate of mine has a son in the Academy's U14 team. He watched a game of his son's the other day in which Joe Kinnear was present. JFK introduced himself to the parents and started asking all the dads what they thought of Darren Bent. Mate stated that he thought it might backfire if he doesn't score for a while due to mackem link to which JFK responded, 'that's what I facking said!' Said the bloke came across canny enough but generally that he didn't have the foggiest (as we all know). As I say absolutely nowt new or earth shattering, but there you go!
  19. I would like Cabaye to issue a smile the moody tit
  20. A lot of people remain unconvinced about Pards and I think that's certainly acceptable due to the nature of our relative imposion within the space of 12 months. However, you look to Everton in the Early 00's and they didn't half yo-yo until after about 4 seasons they remained consistently within the top 8 until now. I am a supporter of Pardew, I think it's rare to find such honesty from a manager who is open to criticism and willing to share that in open forums with supporters. He should be allowed another crack after his 2011-12 exploits, it's the blokes upstairs who will surely not afford him that.
  21. Can't be bothered going over old ground but it is the same manager that achieved 5th place.
