Can’t send or receive anything inside the ground personally. -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to Disco's topic in Football
He could easily have far more assists than that. Willock and Longstaff alone have probably blazed about 5 tap-ins over the bar If he could stay fit there would be no doubt about his role IMO, but as it is I'm not sure we can really persevere for much longer. Except as an impact sub maybe. -
He’s wining and dining in London now, so not too sick.

They've been awful for ages but they've still managed to score some goals with Kane and Son. Hopefully overall quality and tactics will be decisive and not individual moments. -

I’m amazed we’re still telling people to play like Gerrard. I thought everyone was being taught to tiki-taka like Foden now?

Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays
AyeDubbleYoo replied to wor jackie's topic in Football
I love Wor Flags but I'm not sure how much it has to do with the ongoing match atmosphere after the display has ended. It inspires people and gives them pride in their club, but it's other factors that are most important in keeping the atmosphere loud during the game. Importance of the match, what the team do, people starting chants, etc etc. I'm not sure if the group has considered actively getting involved in starting chants, like by having specific people given the job in every stand etc. I know we've briefly talked about a 'wor songs' type thing before. I personally prefer the large and medium flags to the simple ones that are handed out to everyone. That feels more like an ultras demonstration, if you know what I mean. But it's very hard, they're all different levels of good. -
He's the best any PL team can get, until you get to the level of Alisson and Ederson world-class elite goalkeepers. When we make that step, who knows.

I don’t see why we should creep. Are we thinking we’ll continue to play as bad as yesterday? -
Are refs told to protect the brand?

That’s never a handball

Macguire was only battling his own players

Awoniyi has to score man, so bad.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
AyeDubbleYoo replied to Rich's topic in Football
If someone goes and wins all their remaining games, fair play. Otherwise we just need to concentrate on ourselves and see where we end up, I’m more concerned about how we play than anything else. -
I think I need to watch a few games back just focusing on Longstaff, because I really don’t see all of this unsung hero work he does. Happy to admit I’m a little biased against him though, so I’m probably wrong. I definitely notice all his mistakes

We’re still the best team in the race apart from Brighton IMO.

Watkins is very good like, think injuries have hampered him a lot. -

Ultimately Longstaff is our weakest midfielder, but a lot depends on how the current 3 can handle the sitting role and covering spaces. -

I’ve been wanting to see the midfield without Longstaff, will be interesting. Murphy/Gordon doesn’t fill me with excitement but we will see. -

Sounds like an Adam P travel blog. -
Joeninho would better, and means little Joe so works with Joelinton. I'm not Brazilian like, so I'll defer to Bruno.
-
Since I heard that he hired his own coach under Bruce it's been clear that he's 100% professional and committed to getting better. Class act. No matter the manager or coaches, no-one could make the progress he has done without that commitment.

Howe's not going to punish Gordon for the sake of it if they've had a productive talk (as he said they had in his press conference). He'll pick him if he thinks it's right for the team.
