Good to hear, maybe he can stop wearing permanent knee supports. -
I would imagine that even if you’re a member, you’ll need to be logged on the moment the tickets go on sale. Depending on how many season tickets they sell of course.

Dunno why people rate Dubravka so highly. He makes the odd save every few games, does OK but never really does anything that any keeper wouldn’t do. And he looked very shaky when we were playing badly and under pressure. I don’t know that much about keepers TBF.

That would be an unbelievable deal.

Football’s like a funnel, to score more goals at the narrow end you need to add more possession and more control into the top. I’ve spent too much time in marketing

I should’ve moved to Ireland straight after brexit, I’d have been nearly due a passport by now. Sadly there was a pandemic.

I think it’s fair to say that he was never picked because he was tactically brilliant. He was a professional and acceptable face to a complete rebrand of English football… turning it from a toxic and impossible job to a team of technically gifted young players. He hit on this conservative style because teams often win tournaments playing like that. Not sure what my main point is, but comparing him to top PL managers is not very useful. We all know he’s never been that guy.

It was basically impossible.

The FA have someone who’s not mental, corrupt or a national embarrassment… they’re in no rush to change him.

I do miss the era of batshit foreign managers.

There’s no chance of any practicing PL manager being poached by England. It’s a much worse job, especially for someone young.
-
The problem with mentioning people like Potter is that it’s a much better job to manage a PL club than it is to manage England. You’re basically choosing from a pool of people who don’t fancy the work of managing a top club or can’t get a job at one. Southgate has done a great job overall, whether there’s someone ready to take it forward is a difficult question.

Would think Bruno is going to take over the deepest midfield position. Not sure but seemed that way towards the end of the season.

Lascelles definitely looks leaner than he did. Guess he is training now.

8 year contract for Lamps.

He probably thinks too much if anything, rather than being stupid. He’s not the stereotypical footballer personality.

I think they just mean the building will be gradual and the decisions will be thoughtful. It doesn't mean they're not prepared to spend a shit-ton of money when needed. I don't know much about PSG's story, but I think Man City is a good comparison. They have been smart and they have a great organisation, but it doesn't mean they don't use their finances to outmuscle people. When they needed to spend £150m+ on fullbacks to get the right one, they went out and did it.

Honestly think he’s my favourite ever newcastle player behind Shearer. Just a shame it’s along with the tragedy that it never worked out for him. He was actually at exactly the right club to become a superstar. Just with the wrong owner and managers.

The players are pretty strong in their teams like, and this is the most technically gifted generation we’ve maybe ever had. Of course the likes of De Bruyne are the best players in their clubs, but those other players don’t all come from the same country.
