Listened last night. The accusations that they are chancers prepared to take any profit and run seemed to touch a raw nerve. Wonder why?
-
Like how the mackems have got their club back? The downturn in fortunes at safc at DID actually bring a change of owners. The new ones have turned out to be no better and there's no guarantees but I'd certainly like to take a chance on a new owner.
-
We are the opposite to that quote on the scarves Leicester fans have in memory of their owner. They have 'Making the impossible possible' on. Ashleys' motto seems more like making the possible impossible. Could maybe an alternative protest scarf to those hard hitting stripey bar scarves. 'Ashley. Making the possible impossible'.

Interviewer just needs a green cap to look like a tomato, and babestation? The lad is surrounded by 30 thousand tits most home games but still doesn't see enough.

Said to the wife yesterday, 'It's half an hour til KO in a home game and i'm just going about life like it's not happening'. Was just helping out with the dinner. Didn't think it possible i could become so detached from NUFC. Hurts like hell. There's a massive void in my life. I watch the odd non league game and have done some EFL ground hopping but none of it really matters and i'm just making do. I want to look forward to toon games again. Count the days til the next one. i want results to make or break my weekends like they used to. I want to feel proud and feel a foot taller, like i did whenever i'd wear something with the crest or club name on. Just go man Ashley you FB.

Who's the lass who's been accompanying him to court?

E mail fired off. Might not change anything but makes me feel better now that my anger at Ashleys' total distain for the club has subsided anyway.

I live just up the road and didn't even realise they existed at their current home. They're at Scotswood sports centre, off Denton road. I'd passed and thought it looked like it had had a bit of an upgrade from the old Sunday league pitch it once was. I was actually in my local chippy and they'd put some flyers on the tables. They seem to be trying to put the word out and attract people. Suppose they're the only non league club in a fairly big catchment area of Newcastles' West end so we'll see how/if they progress.

Took a curious look at Kenny Whartons Newcastle Blue Star yesterday. Nice day and just down the road from me.Won 7-0 v Seaton Delaval. Decent bar there. 'The Bobby Robson lounge'. Cheap food and drink and you can take your pints round the pitch. They've got plans for a new stand so the ground will be good enough for step 6 and able to host FA cup/vase games. https://www.nbsfc2018.co.uk/post/newcastle-blue-star-football-club-ground-redevelopments

Massive club. Fans everywhere. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50027904

'Remember, we are safc and have 6 in a row'. Is that on their honours list?

Just watched that again. Thinking about how my interest levels have swung so dramatically from high to low ☹. What an absolute waste of a club. -
Imagine the BILL for all that duck tape? ☺

Could well be a broken arm to add to his trouble.

FA cup 3rd qualifying round today. Dunston v Colne, who are bringing a fair few up according to Dunstons twitter. Also said on there to take note that those fantastic journalists at the Chron had got it wrong by telling its readers they are away to Marine today. Small clubs like Dunston needing every penny they can get and those idiots are putting people off.

When the missus says she's stopping at her parents tonight. This sums up how pathetic our braindead fans are fucking laughing and dancing at us after we are being drubbed and fucking humiliated. This pisses me off so fucking much how conditioned our sheep have become contrast this to 25 years ago fans being pissed off and confronting Keegan after Andy Cole was sold Our fans are nothing short of a fucking embarrassment now and wuite frankly its fucking shameful that these clowns have paid good hard earned money and think its funny watching us get absolutely gubbed all while singing whos that team we call united Before i jacked my ST i was at Spurs and while all around me were going mental at the shock win i couldn't bring myself to join in singing 'Who's that team we call United' when we're not United anymore. Nor could i sing 'We'll support you evermore' with any conviction when i was by now doubting i would support them ever more. It'll always be my club but i'm feeling nothing but apathy for it currently. -
I was drunkenly thrown out of cosy joes for shouting at that twat Wee Philly last night.. Asked him if he hates Newcastle that much what he was doing here?
-
Cheers for the support folks. I feel strangely relieved since I cancelled. After cancelling, one of the 1st people I bumped into was a 'mackem' at work. I use the inverted commas because he's from Wallsend or somewhere and attends once in a blue moon. He asked if I was enjoying watching my team. Funnily enough, I've just cancelled my ST I replied. He starts shaking his head in disgust and more or less tried to tell me I should support my club no matter what. Picked the wrong moment to start such a conversation. I explained I've followed my club for 43 years but that club is now a pointless club. One which no longer attempts to compete. One who are only playing to finish between 13th and 20th most seasons, and cups? Why even enter? Told him how I now envy other clubs for at least trying to be the best they can be. While they are hilariously making hard work of it so far, even his shitty club WANT to succeed.

Well, after not being able to bring myself to push the button pre-season on cancelling my ST, yesterday it finally happened. Was on the 10 year thing so i've paid for 7 months out of 12. Payments were only £36 per month but i've only been v Watford and Brighton so effectively i've paid about £125 a game. Doesn't seem any point in paying another £200 or so til the end of the season when my heart isn't in it. Me and my daughter were going to games together for 21 years, since she was 3. She chucked it in the summer. Bought a one off ticket for 'her' seat next to me for the Brighton game as she admitted to having withdrawal symptoms. Safe to say she now realises she's missing nowt. The worst possible advert to tempt her back. So there we have it. 43 years of me going regularly and 28 years as a ST holder gone at the press of a button. The decision is was made by my feeling of apathy as much as protest. An apathy brought on by Ashleys lack of ambition or even interest in the club. We've been s**t for most of my life but in the past it's bothered me when we'rent doing well. Now i barely care. Having said that about protest, if it's one more empty seat towards change then fantastic.

Saville-esque gear that.

Overheard a conversation between a cabin crew lass and a lad with his obligatory light blue SAFC away shirt on during a flight to Faro last week. Alerted to the conversation when i heard her say 'Proud mackem'. She went on to say 'Hey, they're doing alright aren't they? Do you think we'll get taken over? I hope so' She was looking up to the ceiling of the plane and crossing her fingers by this point. The comment to top the lot was 'That'll be the downfall of Newcastle.' As ever NUFC are their yardstick and are always at the forefront of their minds. On the 6.45am return coach journey to Faro airport this morning i then had to contend with a bunch of 40 something mouthy mackem lasses beside me talking in that accent that's unbearable at the best of times, let alone early morning with a long day ahead. Maccarewns and ballewns were mentioned.

Great site that Puts to bed my theory, they have always been the second best supported team in Tyne and Wearyside Undoubtedly. The odd season when they have bettered our average has been the exception to the norm.

Maybe, our crowds are dwindling and I’m convinced only bounced back because of Rafa, there’s a hardcore 35,000 that will always go now in the PL, drop down and we will see crowds of that in the championship. If we fell into division 3 like the strange c***s down the road I actually think we’d get no where near their attendances . Disagree always have had bigger crowds by a huge margin as well. When we were in the pits of division 2 early 80’s the crowds were s**** mind, I stood amongst them. Crowds in general were down across the board, but we still got bigger crowds than Sunderland though during that time. Can't be arsed to look it up but that last bit surprises me. Long time ago and I was in my teens but I can remember they were in the old 1st division (top division in those days). After our failed promotion bid of 1979/80 - i think Sunderland went up that season - I'm sure our gates really dipped pre keegans arrival in August 1982.

Great result for Dunston away at Goole in the FA cup. Won 4-1. Sunderland RCA at home next round. This Saturday.

i was honestly shocked by the standard and consistency of the goals during the highlights i watched, was incredible Hartlepool and Harrogate both quite close to you aren't they? Relatively close i suppose, though i'm happy with a mere passing interest in the lower leagues. I've started going to random league one and two grounds in a bid to 'do the 92' and am really enjoying my days out. At the same time i'm envious of some fans, who while small in numbers are able to passionately back their teams knowing the people at the top want the best for their club. In most cases anyway.
