  1. Wow, I must be T H I C K. I just cannot "grasp" that at all. I'm sure decency will prevail.

  4. Yes, but I would think that it is a "true fake", in as much as it is very likely to be an UNDERSTATEMENT of what is actually constantly going on.
  5. Could be that VAR is as corrupt as the Premier League seems to be itself, it would seem . . .
  6. This article hits the spot . . . https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1143514841?-11058:809
  7. Put simply, the Premier League have reacted specifically to our Takeover and are pushing through rule-change after rule change (this latest one is just one of them) in an attempt to put us in a financial straight-jacket in order to protect their six Premer Clubs. It seems impossible for us to catch up now. However - I do have a great deal of faith in our new owners, I always have had, and I do think they will find many ways to get around all these obstacles, and that they will guide us to the very top. That will definitely happen, as they did not buy us to finish 2nd. However, it will take longer than it would have if these "all new fiddles" had not been introduced. P A T I E N C E is needed.
  8. On the assumption that you are being serious https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=755e31c4be118e87JmltdHM9MTY2MTU1NzEwNCZpZ3VpZD1jYzljNTgyZS0wZmZkLTQ2MDUtOTVhYi1iMGQ3NTY0NzFjYzYmaW5zaWQ9NTIwNQ&ptn=3&hsh=3&fclid=2d4a6ef3-2598-11ed-b8dd-c70a3bd458e5&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly9lbi53aWtpcGVkaWEub3JnL3dpa2kvSmltbXlfSGlsbA&ntb=1
  9. We have not paid over the odds. Time has moved on, our club has moved on, we need the worlds top ranked players now and that is how much they cost.
  10. Exactly, that has nothing to do with the continous urban area, that is all to do with the same parochial pride that many people feel.
  11. The original 'Metroland' was part of the Newcastle City Region anyway, we are all (Newcastle/Gateshead/North Tyneside/South Tyneside) just part of the same continuous conurbation anyway. Local authority 'boundaries' are only there for the organisation of public services like Bin Collections, etc, there is no actual separation!
  12. Bruno is, we know, VERY happy here, but in the light of the recent (highly speculative) Real Madrid 'interest' in him this would make him even happier, if it could happen. Not a reason to buy Paqueta in itself - but certainly a PLUS point !!!
  13. How many daft names has the League Cup had, I wonder?
  14. Even if we make signings by then, not sure they would be selected against Tranmere in the League Cup!
  15. Unusually for me, I am not certain, but I am very optimistic that we will get P A Q U E T A very soon . . .
  16. That sounds possible, but is unlikely. The eleven large office blocks at Benton Park View are government owned (as is the land) and have been leased to HMRC. The eleven leases expire at different dates up until 2027, which is one of the reasons why HMRC need to move out. Another reason for the re-location into the City Centre is that HMRC have, over recent times, given up all of their many hundreds of buildings around the UK and concentrated all of their activities into 13 "Regional Centres", with the Newcastle Regional Centre at BPV being far and away the largest, with some 6,700 staff members currently. When the new HMRC building at Pilgrim Quarter opens in 2027 it will house some 9,000 staff members, as the opportunity is being taken by HMRC to close the very last of their 'other' buildings in the North East of England, at Emerald Court in Peterlee and Waterview Park in Washington, thus increasing the "BPV 6,700" up to the "Pilgrim Quarter 9,000". HMRC policy is to have all thirteen of their Regional Centres in City Centre locations, with the Newcastle Regional Centre being (prior to 2027) the only one not in a City Centre office block. So, I do not see BPV as a possible location for NUFC, as it presently stands.
  17. Yes, the HMRC "Newcastle Regional Centre" at Benton Park View (BPV) in North Newcastle, is not owned by the Reubens, but the new 'Pilgrim Quarter' HMRC site in the City Centre is owned by them. HMRC are moving there from BPV in 2027, I don't think there is any involvement with the DWP Department.
  18. Yes that is often said, but though it was the same "idea", it was relatively very small fry.
  19. Yes, that was very strange and very far removed from reality!
  20. Well aware of that, but the "big two" sugar-daddy clubs are Chelsea and Man City. Everton and some others are far more "low-profile", and are not in the same bracket as those two (and now us) for sheer wealth.
  21. Yes, Chelsea were the first real big-time "sugar-daddy" club in England. Man City were the second and I would imagine that many supporters of other clubs reckon that we are the third !!!
