  1. This is it for me, if you're serious you get on the phone and demand an answer, you make another bid or you walk away. You don't sit on outlook hammering the F5 key whilst sweating buckets. Get it done or pull the plug ffs.
  2. WBA don't need to sell but they know that we need to buy, we're over the barrel with our pants firmly down. It'll take a daft amount to pry him away, I'm not sure we'll meet that valuation.
  3. Funny how sky seem to know about who hasn't 'reply to all'. Bollocks. Hes waiting for an auction to happen. If he doesn't sell just before the deadline at this price he's absolutely mental i agree, berhaino is going today like, peace is a f***ing madman if he doesnt sell a player who isnt being played and has 18 months left on his deal for money like this. Why would he care? TV money more than covers it, also they'll get similar offers in the summer. TV money or TV money + 20-odd million? I don't care how much you earn from TV money that's still a huge chunk to cut your nose off at.
  4. Any team can say any player is not for sale, but everything in this life has a price, it's just finding one that can't be refused. WBA might not want to sell but they're not gonna shut off the fax machines or whatever in case someone bids an offer that can't be refused. Is it a PR exercise by us or are WBA milking this cow until it's red raw? It's getting tiresome now though, glad there's only one day left of this fiasco.
  5. A cup game, he's been used as a late sub in any appearances he's made in the PL recently, not really had much of a chance.
  6. I don't see how West Brom can command a fee of 30m for a player who is out of favour, not playing and has been publicly chastised for being disruptive. They're obviously pushing the boat out in terms of value and we're trying to turn their heads with our value, which is probably closer to his actual worth. He's only going to depreciate in value so I think we have a chance especially with money up front.
  7. And turn the volume dial to an even number?
  8. It's been said but unless we get someone to put the ball in the back of the net it doesn't matter how much service you buy. We've made some decent-ish aquisitions so far but ultimately it'll be futile without a striker, a left back wouldn't go amiss either, if we haven't run out of ideas by now. One thing's for certain Gomis isn't the answer to our goal drought.
  9. This was discussed a few days ago. You don't go to jail in Spain for a first offence, if it's less than 2 years of prison time. The article is crap, I guess they didn't bother checking how our legal system works. Missed that one, cheers VI tbf if you have that kind of money there's always a way out in most corrupt legal systems
  10. Mascherano looking like he's going to jail: http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2609763-javier-mascherano-handed-1-year-prison-sentence-for-tax-evasion?utm_source=outbrain.com&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=global-sports
  11. Yeah I thought that too! This time last year 15/01/15 his first signing at Palace:
  12. This thread is going to be so great in a year's time. He won't be there in a year's time because it's Palace not NUFC and when the fall from grace is complete and they're dropping like a lead balloon Palace will twist rather than stick and pull the trigger on the smarmy cunt.
  13. You can't sell a manager or director on for profit though so it probably makes no sense to him. Besides someone who is actually good at their job might have ideas above their station for the club. He got £3m for fucking Pardew like I'll give you that one, possibly the greatest piece of football business I have ever seen.

  15. Waiting for the obligitory FundMe campaign from one their monkeys to provide a plane to fly over our next home game.
  16. Is that you underneath referencing HF's article Dave? Good call
  17. I rarely post on here but browse the forum from time to time. I have to agree, some of the tripe people post on here is laughable. Why don't you both fuck off then? nice. The whole club and culture of NUFC is bipolar, watch back the West Ham game and compare that to the Watford game, it's hardly surprising the supporters feel that way. Secondly the Shelvey purchase was followed with cautious optimism on here, the worry that he's a 1 in 5 player and the negative feedback from Swansea supporters. But the concensus of opinion was that a new start in a new team where he can pull the strings might just be what he needs. Townsend isn't a player we needed, our time will have been better spent chasing signatures for weaker positions in the team, now it's a done deal he'll get what everyone else gets who comes here, time to prove himself.
  18. He might not be sharp, but he will come in fresh, energetic and enthusiastic with a point to prove /devilsadvocate
  19. Don't think Shelvey can do enough defensively. We'd get bossed in midfield. Perez is going to get fucked over isn't he? I'll quit my straw clutching now...
  20. Mitrovic Perez Wijnaldum Townsend Sissoko Shelvey Could that work?
