I think that makes it even better. I agree, but I don't think they did it with intention. Steven Taylor probably wrote it, having seen his spelling of "false" on his MySpace page as "faulse".

so brilliant, they can't even spell "Shitter" right. It has two t's surely?

Chuck him over Niagra falls in a barrel? Hughton no. Smith definitely.

don't really give a rats arse tbh. When we've got a decent bunch of players for him to work with, thats when I'll judge him. He has to be Harry fucking Houdini to work wonders with Alan Smith.

A message from the international supporters.

if you look though, many of our foreign fans have a team they support in their own country, and then one from the Premier League. With all due respect, do they not choose a PL team on top of one from their country because our league is better? We have better players (although not the case with NUFC), more world-renowned managers, and we get coverage of our football all over the world. To be honest, If I lived somewhere in Scandanavia, I'd probably do the same. I'd support my local team, and go to their matches week in, week out, but I wouldn't be able to help myself in wanting to get involved in the best league in the world. And by doing so, I'd ally myself to a team. It's all about wanting to watch top quality football at the end of the day. -
Everton 2-0 SK Brann Johnson. both been good finishes tbh.
-
Everton 1-0 SK Brann. Yakubu.
-
He obviously hasn't considered moving to Hackney.

apparantly the ref for the Everton game has "had a few encounters with Newcastle down the years". Nicolay Ivanov, can't say I remember these games so I guess I shouldn't accept any controversial decisions...?
-
dunno whether to risk watching one of the 2 games, which could turn out to be pretty mediocre, or "My Street" thats on channel 4 at 9, and looks quite interesting.

Aberdeen have 30 mins to get 2 goals and take it to extra time. 3 to win. No chance from what I've seen, they've done very little. Bayern look comfortable.

Gazza detained under mental health act

the last I heard he was living at a hotel in Newcastle, and apparantly wouldn't come out of his room because he was spending hours playing on his Nintendo Wii. Apparantly he was even bugging hotel staff to join him in a game. -
Man United (h) - 23/02/08 - pre-match thread
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to womblemaster's topic in Football
I've got a feeling we'll hold out until about 30 minutes, or half time if we're lucky. Then they'll just up their game and get a goal. After that heads will go down on our part and it'll finish about 3-0 in their favour. -
I can see where you're coming from, however one lad I know supports Man Utd 'cos his dad does. And his dad does 'cos his uncle (the lads great uncle) is a manc. Daft when I first heard the theory. However credit to the lad's dad (I hope you're following this) for not following in his own fathers footsteps and lowering himself to being a mackem. Still though, no spine and common sense to think "well, why not support Newcastle"
-
Eboue should have buried that chance.

was that a light being shone on Ronaldo?
-
got a sneaky feeling that Milan might get the first goal. Oh, and take that just won best live support act
-
lets just say I found a way to watch Arsenal - Milan. Was gonna watch Lyon, purely because I want to see Benzema after hearing so much about him, but Arsenal - AC Milan whets the appetite a hell of a lot more.
-
Indeed they are. However they're loved up with their boyfriends. Incidently, one of which was telling me the other day that Jonny Evans has just moved into a pad opposite his own in West Jesmond.
-
be happy you're getting to watch it. I'm outvoted 2 to 1 by my flatmates that we're having the Brits on the living room TV.

pointless story, but related to that. Does anyone remember when JJB first opened on the Team Valley - all it sold was football kits at dirt cheap prices. I used to play football on Sunday mornings with kids (I must've been about 10) who were kitted out in full Millwall/Plymouth/Wolves kits just because they could buy the shirt, shorts and socks for about £15. Heck, I even had a lovely luminous Borussia Dortmund top that they had lurking in there just because they'd won the Champions League a few years earlier.

I wouldn't say I have a "second team", I'm always going to support Newcastle, and hope to god we beat whoever we're playing, however I do have teams I'll look out for. I became good mates with a few lads at uni who are Sheff Wed daft, and so I look out for their results. We can also sympathise with each other at the minute as they're definitely facing a relegation battle, while we are in danger of being dragged into one ourselves. It means we can drown our sorrows together. Its a similar story for Charlton. I have a load of relatives from London, who all seem to support different teams. However I'm able to get along the easiest with my relatives who are Charlton fans, rather than those who support Chelsea and Spurs, probably because they're not up their own arses like the other two. So yeah, I wouldn't call Sheff Wed and Charlton "second favourite teams", just teams that I want to see do well for the benefit of people I know who support them. Likewise they do for Newcastle United and myself.

Favourite Non NUFC/England Footballing Moments
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to Tooj's topic in Football
the mackems getting beat 3-1 at home to Charlton with "sargent wilko" in charge. Nothing unusual about that, just another hopeless mackem defeat. .......until you consider that the hopeless fuckwits in red and white scored all 4 goals. Don't think we'll ever see anything like that again. -

done. Helping a fellow poly student is something that I feel obliged to do. Good luck with the dissertation.
