  1. they humiliated us twice, but that proves that they are the team that deserve to win the title rather than chelsea who beat us thanks to a very dubious last minute goal
  2. Nobody should pay less because of their religion. It was a one-off offer to encourage a sector of the population who would normally not think of going to a football match (despite living next door to a PL stadium) to go to one. If you were non muslim and lived in that area, you too would have had the offer. It just happens that almost everyone is Muslim there. Just to reiterate what Spurs From Africa said, it isn't a permanent arrangement, it was a one off offer. In the same way a lot of clubs sell tickets cheaply to schools. It won't mean a "Muslim section" of the ground (that'd be worse than actually not having them at the ground in the first place, in many ways). If the idea is to make it easier for people to make that first step to becoming an attender, then good for them. Remember what it was like for you the first time you went to a match as a 6 or 7 year old? There'll be Muslim kids just like that right now. If a few of them have had an introduction into the game like we had way back when, that left them wide eyed and wanting more, then good for them. Why should they be excluded from the near endless cycle of misery and disappointment that we get? We did similar things to encourage families back to matches (why do you think you can't sit in your seat at SJP with a pint?) several years ago. whats aston like as an area, i was thinking of going there for uni. i always thought aston villa wsa the posh side of birminghma?
  3. isnt that saying you hate man u more than u love newcastle? i absolutely hate chelsea with a passion but if it were the other way round i would want us to beat man u.
  4. stoke just lost. good oportunity lost. palace up to 6th
  5. people are now asuming that just because we have 1) keegan and 2) money that all the best players in the world are going to flock to us. and this is the relaistic target thread? henry- too good for us deco- likewise. i would love to see us sign bentley, but blackburn are higher in the league than us, chalenging for 6th plaace this season. it would take a lot for it to come off. we arent goiing to be able to attract players the calibre of owen and martins im afraid. this is just like th mackems thinking that they would get forlan and keane. not going to happen, although id like to think wed get better than chopra and andy reid!!

http:// www.youtube.com/ watch?v=57gHFRoqE5I good clip of him being a w****** here. admits "arsenal are not a big club". bad attitude, next please failing
  7. tal ben haim? was good at bolton, seems to be forgotten about at chelsea
  8. thats what we thought until we played derby But we actually play to win games now rather than play to stop the opposition thats what we thought until we played derby This. Add that to last season's home goalless draw and away 2-0 defeat to Charlton, the home 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Utd and the 1-1 away draw with Watford. We can't ever beat the crap teams, part of the reason why we struggle. luckily though, weve just beat fulham and reading so hopefully thats finished noW!
  9. thats what we thought until we played derby
  10. Agree with that. A lot of averageness in the championship, many teams who would come up and get murdered. seconded. when i saw pompey v west brom, west brom looked like theyd stay up easily IF they bought a few good players. watching the first stoke fa cup game, their defenders were ok, but that ricardo fuller (one of the best players in the champ) looked crap. charlton might just survive?
  11. would rather not see more London teams like Charlton and Watford (near enough to London) come up but I suppose its less of a trek than Bristol well rather selfishly, thats the reason id like them promoted. that and the fact that theyre cheap. fulham going down is a great shame for me as its such a nice ground in a nice place. that said, ill be bloody annoyed if stoke come up- wankers.
  12. christ didnt realise hull were that high up!
  13. looks like its derby, fulham and bolton going down from the premiership. how do you think they will fare next season? also, who do you think wil come up this season? realistically, any of this lot could come up. id like to see charlton, watford and west brom/bristol city and also man u winning the premiership i reckon. 1 Bristol City 42 12 6 3 30 20 7 7 7 19 29 0 70 2 Stoke 41 11 6 3 33 24 7 9 5 30 27 12 69 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Hull 41 12 6 3 40 17 7 5 8 19 24 18 68 4 Watford 41 8 7 5 26 23 10 7 4 34 25 12 68 5 West Brom 40 12 6 3 49 25 7 4 8 29 26 27 67 6 Wolverhampton 40 9 5 5 26 23 7 8 6 21 22 2 61 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 Ipswich 41 13 6 1 40 12 3 6 12 18 39 7 60 8 Charlton 42 8 6 7 33 27 8 6 7 25 25 6 60 9 Plymouth 42 8 8 5 32 20 8 3 10 22 26 8 59 10 Crystal Palace 41 7 9 5 24 23 7 8 5 22 16 7 59 11 Burnley 42 7 8 6 27 26 8 5 8 28 31 -2 58 12 Cardiff 40 10 4 7 25 20 4 10 5 22 24 3 56 13 Sheff Utd 41 8 7 5 26 21 6 7 8 20 23 2 56
  14. i just saw their fa cup semi at wembley the other day. to think we will beat them 3-1 is too much tbh. they are excellent defensively and although we are definately getting better im going for 1-1 or 1-2. defoe to score for them.
  15. id have genuinely said allardyce. although his style of football ... euuugh
  16. exactly. is he still on loan, i thought theyd bought him?
  17. embaressingly, a couple of seasons back, i got "bramble 19" on the back of my shirt. i thought it would be funny as im a shite central defender and often used to get " titus bramble would be proud of that" by my glory hunting chelsea supporting mates. it was funny at first, novelty wore off, now hes at wigan and id look like an absolute tit if i wore it at a game
  18. bibs? also, who was it who started the "why well finish above arsenal this season" thread and said adebayor would be the next ameobi
  19. sorry mate, think they are sold out. barnsleys were anyway. check cardiff pompey and west brom but probably the same as well. i think the fa forbids them going on GS because otherwise opposition fans purchase tickets in the other end, leading ot fights etc. if there are, chances are your not the only one wanting to go to wembley
  20. well, i guess what i mean is they have a good defence, but im going to this one anyway now. tell you what anoys me most though. my mate offered me this ticket on msn, and he doesnt have even the slightest interest in football! i said to him "cheers mate i owe you one, ill get the pints in at HT" he didnt know what HT meant! pisses me off that people with no interest, but know the right people get tickets whereas poor fans dont
  21. yeah that was my initial reaction. although, barnsley v cardiff may have more passion and may be better atmosphere, as well as a more exciting game because pompey play defensively. all in all a good day after securing a reading ticket as well!!
  22. ive been offered a free vip ticket to see either of the fa cup semi finals this weekend at wembley!!! which should i choose?
