Yeah. It’s fine to be disappointed with what’s probably going to be a pretty barren window. There’s gray area between “heads should roll!” and “remember the Ashley days?!” Feeling a bit let down with the lack of permanent additions is a fairly reasonable reaction imo.

He’s an absolute unit, definitely good enough for a team with CL aspirations. I’d say Guehi is more of a sure thing, and I’d rate him higher but I wouldn’t be massively disappointed if we ended up with Simikan. The link is pretty tenuous though so it’s a bit silly hailing him as the saviour of our window just now.

Think it’s more to do with the fact that there’s 3 days left of the window and Guehi’s club aren’t playing ball. Prefer Guehi personally (for all the reasons you’ve mentioned) but Simakan is no slouch.
