I still don’t really know how this new format works.

First goal is absolutely everything here, you’d think.

Really good interview from Mourinho. The cynic in me thinks he’s definitely trying to soften the crowd a bit and maybe keep the door open for a future job. That said, he’s always been genuinely full of praise for Newcastle. There’s real admiration there; but let’s be honest, he knows exactly what he’s doing too.

Many Forest fans were devastated when he left and hailed him as their most important player; even ahead of Anderson and MGW. It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t have mentioned a consistently poor first touch if it had been as sloppy as what we’ve seen so far in black and white. Like I said he’s probably just in his head too much right now. He’ll do very well here, I’m sure of it.

I have to say, his first touch has been the biggest letdown for me so far. I still believe it's more about him trying too hard, because I don’t recall him having the same ball control problems at Forest.

He’s had a choppy start for sure and looks like he’s in his own head a bit. Not trying to be harsh, but he seems more like a player who thrives on instinct rather than overthinking things. Once the system is drilled into him and he doesn’t have to think so much on the pitch, I reckon he’ll come good. The lad has amazing physical attributes and does have great deliveries in his locker; I’m sure we’ll see the best of him in due course.

Lad gets more stick than he deserves when he plays for us imo. Don’t think he’s been that bad at all.

Annoying as fuck with Tino out too.

He’d cost a bomb at this point. What’s the most people would want to spend on him?

Just realized I had no idea what Bloom looked like until now. For some reason I had him as Jeff Goldblum in my head. Quite the departure.

Think we’ll see the 5 at the back with Murphy as the rwb and trips on the left?

Hopefully opens the floodgates for criminal enforcement to check all British refs for noncery now. Operating in plain sight for years.

I’m actually rooting for him, FWIW I like his personality.

I think some of the negative comments before his move fell through might’ve been a reality check. If he wants to be part of the project going forward, he’ll need to offer more than just good vibes and enthusiasm; he’s got the tools, now it’s about turning them into real performances.
