  1. Goodbye Alan, we pardly knew ye.
  2. This is from earlier in the season too, just before the Spurs away win.
  3. Yep, that thing that Downie tweeted there suggests that to me too.
  4. Rafa would've been publically hung, drawn and quartered by the 'expert' ex-pro's in the media if he's served up that first half yesterday. Good Ole Stevie though cannot be expected to 'have a go' and he's done as well as can be expected with what he's got. Poor fella. Deserves his chance. Nice man. Yep! Fantastic job blah blah - Neil Custis said on the Sunday Supplement last weekend that it should be either him or Wilder for manager of the year  Manager of the fucking year. Wouldn't trust him to manage my local Tesco. Your comments here are shocking really. Then again I guess the lad isn't up during the day writing on a forum about a guy he doesn't even know, no maybe he's too busy you know with managing the club he grew up supporting, earning more money in a week then what people on here will earn in a year, getting to go home to his wife and child at the end of the day. If he puts in the work then one day when he's at work he might win a derby, with a bit of good luck he might even win the cup final. Aye but go ahead, mock the lad on his looks, hate him before he's done a full season for us, because he's got nothing on any of you. I mean how can compete with half the people on here who one day if they work hard enough and sacrifice all their time possibly including time supporting us, or even valuable family time then one day when some of you go to work you might be promoted to the position of deputy shift supervisor at the Tesco's down the road, or possibly even PA to the PA, to the PA of the big boss.
  5. Where you getting those odds? Going to put my life savings on.
  6. I largely agree, but the lack of effort on the second goal is criminal.
  7. Can't wait to hear this fat lip licking cunt bleat on about the Gayle miss and casually ignore the shit performance and clueless tactics. One more game down. Hurry up and get the Saudis in so we can peddle this fat wanker.
  8. Hope we never see Gayle again after that fucking pathetic.
  9. We should ask Southampton how much they'd charge for Ward-Prowse to spend a few days with Shelvey teaching him how to take free kicks.
  10. Danny Ings is on some streak like. Could easily see a top-6 side taking a punt in the next window - Spurs as the alternative to Kane perhaps.
  11. Copying Rafa's win over them in Jan 2019, Hayden/Sean CM and back 5.
  12. I liked him more after watching the Jimmy Glass documentary. The story about him passing a bottle of brandy round the players before kickoff was class.
  13. Agree. You can get 14/1 with Bet365, definitely going to have a go on that.
  14. "now for wine" like some 40-something divorced bird on Facebook.

Newcastle's current aspirations in a nutshell there. What top 10 club goes out and signs a free transfer from Motherwell! Absolutely shower of shite this club! Man City have had Richard Wright & Scott Carson on their bench in recent seasons. Man Utd have Tony Grant as third choice. Chelsea had Ross Turnbull for a while in a similar role. It’s hardly uncommon. Inadvertently proving your own point very well by getting Lee Grant's name wrong there
  16. I think 0-0 at HT but we'll get beat by at least 3.
  17. Yep. Hopefully it'll involve Pards in the same way.

    Transfer rumours

Imminent arrival? Expect to see him paraded at SJP in his keepers top by January.
  19. We don't have new owners yet though. Yeah that’s what the discussion is, is this a Ashley is staying decision or not. The club still has to keep going, offering new contracts isn't relevant to the takeover. It isn't in the interests of Ashley/Charnley to lose players they consider assets, when there's still the potential for this deal to later fall through and them have lost said assets. it's amazing how many people think everything stops at a business when a takeover is happening. Not sure that's entirely fair, I (and many others on here I'm sure) have a business background and don't widely hold the opinion you've stated there. But I'd wager that like me, the overwhelming thought is "this is Michael James Wallace Ashley and very much a specialist case" which throws any sensible instincts out the window.

    Transfer rumours

Aye. Scott Carson and Andy Lonergan are in the same post at Liverpool and City for example.
  21. I wonder what the new deals mean? Either Ashley knows he's stuck here and has been back involved to agree to sanction these, or the buyers (and Ashley) know it's going to happen and they've agreed them..?
  22. Happy with this. Best right back on our books. Hopefully within a year or two we'll have upgraded and can sell, however.
