  1. Not like he's had a good fifteen or so home fixtures to get that scoreline before today is it? Poor lamb.
  2. I for one choose to believe the Chronicle given their glorious track record.

Norwich, Bournemouth and West Ham I think. Watford look solid under Pearson and will grind out points, plus Sarr looks to be coming to the boil. Villa I think will just about have enough, Grealish being the main difference-maker versus West Ham.
  4. I think a combo of their intensity and energy, and the overlapping CB innovation in the first half of the season saw them nick a lot of their home games and get loads of 1-1 draws in away games they were the poorer side in. Take away both those things today and they looked like a dreadful side full of no-marks with a League 1 striker up top. As has been said, this side come up say 3 or 4 seasons ago and they probably finish about 12th or 13th, which would have still been canny for a newly-promoted side.
  5. Looking at him when he was signed you'd have been forgiven for putting him in the "foreign fancy dan with floppy haircut" category but I think an underrated attribute of his is the strength he has on the ball, it's not often he gets muscled out of it 1-vs-1 and that really showed today I thought. He's excellent and far too good for Ashley's NUFC. Would love to see what he could do in a side with a decent manager and a few quality additions because he's shone through in this extremely limited side despite Bruce's attempts to injure him at every given chance.
  6. Rose was the only player who looked poor today I thought, everyone else had solid-to-excellent games. His passing was absolutely garbage. First game I can remember in the league where Joelinton's had more than 1 chance in the game, and lo and behold, he scored. He did well to engineer the red too.
  7. No errors today and no stupid subs, makes a nice change. Picking Manquillo was the right choice as well given that he had all 3 RBs available. That said, I fail to remember as poor an opposition side as these pitching up at SJP - no quality, no energy, no creativity, nowt. That's us more or less safe so I hope we get a couple more 0-0s, maybe 1 more win, and then he is sent down Barrack Road by the Saudis.
  8. Feel like we'll see a fair few 0-0s in the coming weeks.
  9. He's like a petulant teenager. I really enjoyed Evra just laughing at how ridiculous he was, going completely overboard. He makes a valid point that De Gea might have saved the goal but to then suggest the save from Son was "easy and he should have caught it" just ruins any credibility his argument had.
  10. Jon Moss looks like he's put on a few clem like
  11. Was it North Korea who tried to take 2 goalkeepers to the World Cup so they could have an extra outfielder, only to have to nominate some poor striker to be 3rd choice keeper and not be able to play outfield because of the way the rules were? I may have entirely dreamed that up but I'm sure it happened.
  12. I still think yes on balance, but voted for "fuck knaas when". The Premier League have already demonstrated that they're happy to let the club drift about virtually rudderless whilst they faff about and I would not be surprised if we see that for a few more months yet.

I hope that means he'll sack Parky and replace him with bloated red crook Steve Evans, would be the perfect fit.
  14. so can they now award the goal then?
  15. Eh? That's a goal The Sheff U lad rightly asking the ref if his watch is even working.
  16. Hope Sheffield United absolutely scuttle these
  17. Don't think I've ever seen a winger refuse to take his man on as often as Duff did. Recieve the ball, first touch, shuffle feet a bit, face up to full back then turn and pass to Babayaro, endlessly, every match.
  18. changes with the weather doesn't it. Sun's out today, it'll go through. Ach, hailstones tomorrow, it'll not.
  19. Wonder if it's an Ashley leak to somehow try and force the PL's hand one way or another.
  20. So, report released, that's the latest nothing arbitrary milestone passed. What's the next one?
  21. not helped by the fact that on some of these goals, the ball is barely over the friggng line and he's fading into the next one.
