I think he'll see the season out tbh. What's the point of getting a nominal fee in January for him? Might as well have him as cover, he's good enough for that.

I reckon January we'll get one quality addition and maybe a loan or two as cover if we've got any injuries. Think it'll be relatively low key.

Desserts are the most boring part of any cookery show. I've watched most of the 12 or 13 seasons of Hell's Kitchen and I would honestly say there's about 20, 30 minutes of time in about 160-odd hours of footage that is devoted to the desserts

I think Rafa has already seen through him. Last season you could allow for Rafa going for 'experience' (even if it was clapped out shite like Cisse, Tiote, S.Taylor etc) and Colback came under that bracket. A supposedly solid performer who you allegedly know what you're getting from. The performances of Hayden from day one, and since Shelvey has woken up, have definitely moved him into third choice. He'll still get starts and minutes off the bench, but I honestly believe Rafa will phase him out over the next 12-18 months. He has defined roles for his central pair and I don't think he fits into those so well. And he's shit obviously...

Probably as close to an "all-round" central midfielder we've had since, I dunno... Rob Lee? I'm not directly comparing the two, just that all our central midfielders for years have only ticked one or two boxes... usually the ones marked "tackling", "shooting" or "unfit" but rarely much else. (Any suggestions of Cabaye can gtfo)
