  1. Anita was technically a pretty handy footballer. Shite otherwise mind. Not anywhere near physical enough
  2. Im pretty sure the Mascots get to meet all the players after the game too like.
  3. Gary Neville reckons OGS should be given a few windows. Is he daft? What if he has these windows, gets his own players in and is still a shite coach? Fair enough if there was some degree of tactical nous he is demonstrating but he's not. He's not shown he can barely get the best out of any of the players. Most managers worth their salt would be showing something at this point. He's been able to muster fuck all since the post Mourinho bounce.
  4. Wonder why he's seemingly doing terrible in China
  5. Didnt mean to aim it at anyone in particular, more to stress what a job he's done imo
  6. Rodgers in fantastic like. Leicester are second ffs.
  7. Graham Carr actually came up with some very good players. The dross we signed was largely down to Ashley refusing to buy players like PEA and Lacazette at the top of his list and instead taking a punt on the likes of Saivet for a few million. If we'd used his recommendations correctly rather than signing players based solely on resale value, things might have been different. As such, it wasnt because those running the club are fucking clueless morons.
  8. Nacho Gonzalez last played for us in 2008 and Xisco played 20 minutes this decade in which he got an assist
  9. Often the case with players considered 'physical', target men type forwards in the Spanish league just dont cut it here. Morientes, Kovacevic, Morata, Soldado are a few bigger centre forwards who have flourished in Spain but totally failed here. Maybe its a bit of an overplayed stereotype players in Spain tend to be less physical and more technical like but still, it's definitely the case sometimes.
  10. Haha thats nonesense like. No way Neymar would go back to Brazil at 27 ffs
  11. For all of elite football's politics, economics and its reflections of its communities - NOTHING dictates public perception like results. Pick up 7 or 8 points from 15 and you'll always be right at rain, regardless of whether or not such a return matches expectations/potential and regardless of any glaring deficiencies. That's why the whole Rafa-Goes-We-Go crack was never going to amount to anything particularly meaningful. You don't need to win many games to secure attendances. Agree with this. Results are the be all and end all for most. If Steve Bruce finishes in the top 8 with this side then Ashley is vindicated in the eyes of most. People will stop going only when we're doing poorly on the pitch. If we go down and we're struggling in the championship, then we'll see really low crowds. For now, we're a few points off 5th. Though, as other have said; many have jacked it in already.
  12. probably beat us 3-0 again tbh
  13. nufc.com has just reminded me of this absolute fucking knacker
  14. Daniel Story writes consistently well on NUFC, one of the few journalists that seem to get it.
  15. Sacked from Reading after 1 win in 18 and in his second season. 17 games with Zwolle and now he has Feyenoord sat 10th. How far was Bruce down the list man?
  16. What the fuck is he doing in the time they're training?

    England

Imagine being from Bulgaria and genuinely thinking you're part of a master race. Look around you ffs.
  18. Whats the story with Blue Star then? Loads of new investment? I know they folded about 10 or so years ago like.
  19. Isnt he highly rated at Everton?
  20. 'The balkans' is a fairly contentious term anyway, Slovenia is considered by some/most as part of the balkans but Slovakia flat out isnt. Vladamir Beara was considered one of the best in the world at the time of Lev Yashin.
  21. Not even that, it was only about 8 appearances. He came into a team that was in form too. There's definitely a player in there, but there's still a massively unknown quantity about him. Those 8 games might not be a true representation of his quality over the course of a season. I thought it was incredible when he was getting touted for Man Utd and England.
  22. Cheeky cunts asking for a cab fare home. You know exactly what you're letting yourself in for when you travel to watch Steve Bruce's Newcastle. Fair enough, go, enjoy the day on the drink, but dont act like its in any way suprising we've been humped.
  23. Bruce gone by December I think. Allardyce paid an absolute fortune to come in and attempt to save us. Wild celebrations from the SJP loyelest supportas as we scrape 17th on the final day of the season. Fair play to big mike for acting when necessary, credit where credits due, pass me a season ticket renewal form.
  24. Suggesting the sacking of a manager 6 games into a new season is ludicrous in my opinion, never mind the fact that he's a club legend which would probably buy him a bit more time anyway. What was ludicrious was appointing him before the season was even out. Sentimentality around a club legend is why they appointed him and are subsequently stuck with him anyway.
