  1. Butt wasnt actually all that bad. He had two good seasons iirc. Shite first season and shite at the end of his career here clouds people's judgement.
  2. The sentiment is correct like
  3. It's not that much more nuts than 30M though really?
  4. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/henri-saivet-flopped-newcastle-now-12459360 The St. Ettiene president was having a whinge about him in January, so unless his form dramatically improved in the latter half of the season, its just likely nobody wants him and we're stuck with him. Pointless signing all in all.
  5. Will every single transfer be greeted with people shocked at the fee's? How long will it take for people to get used to 20M not actually being that much anymore. Get with the program lads. I quite like people saying it's silly money now too. As if spending a few million on a footballer wasnt madness to begin with.
  6. Is anyone that leaves us of their own accord a mercenary then? I cant think of many players more of a mercenary than Demba Ba Cabaye can shite off though, little scrote.
  7. I see that 'freak' Yanga Mbiwa hasn't pulled up any tree's in France. I was fairly convinced that he was going to go and make a right mug out of Pardew when he left here. Seems he might have been a bit shite all along.
  8. The how soon is now bit.
  9. This 'Watford, know your place' patter is lifting. How can we sit and whinge about a lack of ambition from the club yet simultaneously whinge when other clubs show a bit of desire to progress. They started well, but have tailed off as the season has went on. He's lost 5 on the bounce and its obvious that the players don't like him. Regardless of whether he's been there 10 weeks or 10 years, its clearly the correct decision to get rid.
  10. Is that Darren 'chinky' Curry himself? I seen his lass was on one of the facebook groups ordering people 'getting their hands in their pockets' and that if anyone didn't like it they could 'fuck off'. Daft cunts.
  11. Absolutely not. Living abroad I've been able to watch a total of one game meaning its a struggle to keep interested. Of course, basically nobody wants to talk about the championship either because nobody really gives a fuck.
  12. He nails current affairs and popular culture 9 times out of 10 like. Thats why they're so good.
  13. The whole Sunderland getting relegated is bitter sweet for me. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them utterly crumble, but given that they've handed us some absolute pastings in recent years, I just can't celebrate it as much.
  14. Thats one of the most average England squads I ever did see like. Fuck me. Compare that to even 10 year ago.
  15. Always have a belting time in Gotham tbh
  16. Worth remembering too that most of us thought we were gonna struggle big time in 09/10. Drubbed by Orient in pre season and with Hughton in charge, we weren't too optimistic. In contrast to this season when most thought it would be a breeze. 09/10 was a pleasant surprise all things considered.
  17. Makes you wonder whether the club are behind this. Destabalise his position because they'd prefer another yes man.
  18. Dummett is decent enough defensively. I'd say he could nullify players way above his level. it's the other atrocious aspects of his game that let him down.
  19. It's all contextual as well. Keeping up momentum with a group of already motivated played, sticking to a game plan, making sure players keep their cool in a title race is obviously a completely different skill set to motivating demotivated players, freshening up tired tactics, finding replacement players etc. Benitez is prime example. Would you say he's a good manager? He's obviously good in the right situation but not in others and its the same with most managers. It's not as simple as good manager/bad manager.
  20. The reaction has been mad. You'd think they had sent him off to dignitas for fucks sake. They haven't scored a league goal in 2017 and it's nearly March. Was he going to turn it around? Probably not. What are the board supposed to do? Sit around and pray he turns it around? Regardless of his achievements last season, they probably rightly considered relegation as unacceptable and if they thought they were heading that way, then its obviously the right decision.
  21. This forum is truly up it's own arse at times like.
