You should have took a look at their forum around the time he died. Enough to make you sick the bile they were spouting. Infact I dont think I've ever been as angry reading a forum tbh.

Just shows how desperate we are for us to sign a half decent player tbh.
-
Really disappointed if not at all surprised. I really feel this player could have made our season, sorting out the creativity problem would have gone some way to keeping us up. The worst part about this is that we'll have no back up plan. You'll just know we'll not be monitoring anyone else, let alone made a few enquiries into players incase this fell through. But no doubt we'll make a low bid for Michael Johnson at 23:50 on the last day of the transfer window. Forget who's fault this deal was for collapsing, the fucking amateurs that run this club wont have looked at a single other player. It took us a fucking week to even arrange a fucking meeting. forget personal terms, medicals et al. What were we doing in those 6 fucking days in between the press getting wind of our bid and us arranging a meeting? You see teams complete deals within hours on deadline day yet it takes us a week so give them an offer and arrange a cunting meeting. one can only wonder weather we'd have got this done if we'd had even the slightest bit of urgency about us.

He'll end up at werder now ozil is going/gone. We may of left it too late. Sholud have tied this up earlier instead of waiting till toway for a meeting.
-
Just out of interest Zinaldo, are you a Marseille fan?
-
I know. Bunch of pricks man! When he has a massive change of heart at the last minute and decides to turn us down. It will be your fault.

My Fatha cant stand them lot, not sure why. He was at the away game in the FA cup a few year ago like.

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager
Doctor Zaius replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
For me their fans behaved ridiculously and without any class what so ever that day. Call me bitter but if it was at SJP, would those in SJH Corner take the time to create several banners? Would those in the Gallowgate stay behind to simply goad them like those in the Holte end did? Doubt it. If there's any club I want to see fail other than Sunderland this season, it's Aston Villa. Bizzare decision like, if he's left due to him doubting weather he could take the club any further then surely he'd have left at the end of last season. Surely there's something gone on behind closed doors. Hope they dont take Hughton either, if anything would condemn us to relegation, it would be him fucking off now. Dont think he'd leave even if approached though tbh. -
Its all you cunts with him as your avatar. Talk about Jynxing it man! Surely we knew all along we had no formal agreement in place? If he's coming here on loan, and the president claimed we were yet to agree on wages, then it's obvious we'd never had an agreement as we'd yet to settle on what % of the wages we'd be paying? Sounds like one last attempt to attract some other clubs by letting them know it's not a done deal yet.

Would be a fantastic piece that would. Wish I had the money.

We could certainly do with an anchor man. However, at the moment, a creative midfielder and a goalscoring striker are absolutely essential whilst a defenisve midfielder isnt. I bare little hope of us signing a striker which will be pivotal to keeping us up imo never mind another centre midfielder, something we've got in abundance anyway.
-
If it's a choice between KPB and a new striker I'd take a new striker like. Even with Ben Arfa and KPB, we're still lacking someone to finish off the chances they'd create.
-
Didnt know that. Sounds promising. Somebody should start a thread.

Aye that suggests it's permanent. Who actually mentioned the loan and fee?
-
So far from being completed then.
-
I didnt think I was that negative tbh, that was until I had a look through a few of my previous posts, I really do have nothing good to say.
-
I'm currently in this camp. I'll believe it when the club confirm it. However, IF we do sign Arthur, I'll blow into Sewelly levels of excitement. Though for me and loan deal doesn't make much sense, especially looking it from Ashleys point of view. The fee we'd sign him for is low compared to his supposed talent. If he comes here and has a cracking season, then he'll return to Marseille who'll sell him to a club for a fee we couldn't afford to pay, if we sign him permanently and he has a cracking season, then Ashley would have the option to flog him for much more than we paid for him. Speculate to accumulate and all that.
-
Mate says he stopped back to see the Rangers players after the game (He's a Rangers fan) And there was about 25 Pizzas delivered to the Newcastle team bus. Make of that what you will.
-
Out of interest. When was the last time the 3 promoted teams were relegated?
-
I've been thinking about this for a while. Going down. This team simply doesnt have enough goals in it. No faith in Ashley to spend any money on a much needed new striker. Sorry for the doom and gloom but I just cant see past our lack of attacking threat.
-
Are we fuck.
-
No we wern't. We still largely struggled against what is poor poor opposition. We looked blunt up top and that's against a back 4 containing a 40 year old David Weir and Sasa f***ing Papac. Defensively we weren't fantastic either. I dont think you can take many positives out of this, especially considering our season starts in 7 days time. I must admit I'm worried. I have absolutely no faith in Ashley to spend some money on a much needed striker and I simply cant see our current crop of attackers getting the goals needed to keep us up. We were the best team by a mile in the first half man. And what did we have to show for it? Nowt. Aye, can't believe we missed out on those 3 points. We didnt miss out on any points, it was a friendly. Season starts next week man you berk.
