  1. Aye Ilan has signed for West ham not Santander. Or old mate Babayaro supposedly going to Forest too.
  2. Not a great signing. Might possibly do at job at this level, however we've signed him on a 3.5 Year deal. He's nowhere near premier league standard tbh. A bit of a strange one this.
  3. "Hughton told us Sat he 'expects' to have another striker by 5pm.Has got numbers he wanted so far-if not exact players" Taken from Caulkins twitter.
  4. Where does Caulkin say this? On his twitter http://twitter.com/caulkinTheTimes
  5. Sorry if already posted but Caulkin reckons he wanted to come here but we wouldnt pay the money Wigan were willing to. @JDewshi Moses? Yes, was also told he wanted to come to Nufc. Think that would have been better move for him, but £££ talks.
  6. The whole squad put up for sale again possibly? Probably not. I predict the most boring deadline day in years.

I don't understand why we shipped him out in the first place. We signed him for £5 Million, there has to be something about him. Surely he isnt so bad that he's a worse option than Carroll or Ranger, two lads that are still learning their trade (despite what the former likes to think). The only reason I can think of sending him out on loan and refusing to play him is possibly If he plays for us we might have to pay a fee to Deportivo, something Ashley doesn't want to pay?
  8. Some of this criticism is unfair imo. Think back to the start of the season, how many we're saying we'd struggle to get into the play offs never mind go up automatically yet here we are, 4 points clear. Yes the football is fucking shit, but I remember someone saying Birmingham were the same last year, and look at them now. I remember the mackems saying the same about Keane when they went up, the only team I can really remember playing great football and going up was West Brom and they came straight back down finishing bottom. The football is poor we know that, we know that this team wouldn't stay up, but now isn't the time to panic, Hughtons signings have been pretty shrewd so far, if we went up hopefully he'd carry on in this vain. I think I'm one of a few that have some sort of faith in Hughton tbh. We all know he isn't a world class manager but those who are saying he needs to go, who are we going to replace him with? Hypothetical situation; we go up, those that want him gone get their wish and he's off, what decent manager is going to want to come and work under Ashley and Llambias with the reputation they have? It wouldnt do our misrepresentation of being too demanding any good either because regardless of the shite football, people are going to look at the league table, see that we've gone up despite initial expectations and slate us for wanting him gone, rightly or wrongly what manager is going to want to work under fans that want forced their manager out despite being top of the league. At the end of the day he's not an experienced manager and this is his first season as a manager, he's bound to make mistakes. So far, I think he's done a good job. To say that he must step down if we go up is a little harsh imo.
  9. Dissapointed but not shocked we missed out on him.
  10. I know it's been said before but it's so blindingly obvious this lad isnt a winger. Not in any sense of the word. The lads at an age now where he needs to start playing in his proper position, in the centre of midfield. I honestly hope, with Routledge coming in Hughton gives him a go in the middle, it's not like we've got anyone in there who's worldclass. I reckon he might go some way to providing the creativity and craft we need.
  11. I'd honestly have faith in at least 10 on this forum to do a better job. A lot of us have seen these problems from day one. That's still not a name. I'm genuinely interested to see who those that want him out would replace him with?
  12. This fucking place at times. So then. We'll get rid of Hughton. And replace him with who exactly?
  13. Dreadfull game, poor performance. Harper - 8 - Again a rock at the back, made an important save too, made one dodgy mistake like, another clean sheet. Taylor - 7 - Did well imo, one good bit of defending to force Waghorn to spurn a chance and whipped some decent balls in. Offers more than Simpson going forward, still suspect at the back though. Williamson - 8 - Looked good. Was done off Fryatt in the first half for their best chance but other than that looked strong and assured. Coloccini - 7 - Again did well, Lost his man a few times but was pretty solid Van Aahnholt - 8 - Looked fairly good, went close in the first half, wasnt really tested in defence but looked good going forward. Routledge - 7- Did ok, looked quick and nippy, we didnt play wide enough for him to have a great effect though Butt - 5 - Same old same old, see what every poster has said in every match thread for the last 2 years. Smith - 4 - Anonymous throughout, can barely even remember him touching the ball. Guthrie - 6 - Poor, simply not a winger imo, nothing more to say on the matter. Nolan - 4 - Again totally anonymous. Should have done better with his header. Carroll - 5 - Another one that pretty much failed to turn up, Wayne Thomas had him in his pocket all game long. Ranger - 6 - minimal impact really Pancrate - 6 - Didnt have much time to do anything. seemed to work well with Taylor at times though. Those ratings some it all up tbh, strong at the back, absolutely nowt going forward. Same old story, a total and lack of creativity. Leicester were the better side throughout, we failed to exploit their sending off. We were too narrow, 4-5-1 didnt help either, I would have liked to see Jonas and Routledge get at their full backs and put some balls into the box for Carroll. Our centre midfield is dreadful imo, Butt, Smith, Nolan whoever, they've all gone off the boil. Need to get Guthrie in there and Jonas out wide imo. Dissapointing, but a point none the less. 4 clear at the top and 6 clear of WBA. That'l do for now but we're going to have to improve.
  14. We've been dreadfull so far like. No energy, no creativity, this reminds me of much of last seasons performances but only against worse opposition without that cutting edge. Hope Hughton goes 4-4-2 and exploits the space. Bring Jonas out wide left for Smith and move Guthrie into the middle. Bring Lovenkrands upfront for Nolan. Give's us more pace to exploit their 10 men. I can see us going on to lose this if he dosent change things like.
  15. The villa fans, lost all of my respect that day. There was no need for them to go on like they did, if the roles had been reversed would we have went on the same way? I very much doubt it. As for the rest, Fuck'em, who cares if The Everton fans cheered our relegation? To borrow a Millwall phrase; Nobody likes us and we dont care. Being liked dosent give you success, infact it gets you nowhere, I honestly wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if the whole of the UK despised us, infact it may give us an 'us against the world' mentality.
  16. Genuine cunts. Those who say they dont understand why we bother with them and have so much distain towards them tend not to live in the north east/amongst mackems, it's only when you have had to deal with the fuckers and the utter gibberish they spout on a daily basis that you will fully understand why they are possibly the biggest mongs going. The obsession they have with us is unreal. I honestly beileve that a hell of a lot of them would rather have seen Newcastle relegated, than their own team win a cup last season. Mental.
  17. Happy with this. He's a good right winger with pace. One of the best players if not the best I've seen at SJP this season, he was quality against us. He's 25 and never proved himself in the prem with Spurs, Pompey or Villa. I think he's got the talent and ability, hopefully he'll prove that he can do it at the highest level. Reltively pleased with this.
  18. I'm starting to doubt weather we'll actually see him this season tbh.
  19. No idea what Liverpool asre whingeing at. They spent quite a bit in the summer.
  20. 2 lads I know have just been hired. One of them tried to ID my mate the other day (who is 18 anyway) the jobsworth twat.
  21. I like Tyler and Gray, even if Gray is a cunt. I Like Barry Davies too, for osme reason he reminds we of the FA cup. I cant listen to Jonathan Pearce without thinking of Sergeant Bash or Sir Killalot destroying some piece of metal and for some strange reason Ian Gwyn Hughes's voice from match of the day fills me with rage, I dont mind Mick Lowes on BBC Newcastle either.
  22. Pancrates was a stunner. Still havnt seen Guthrie's WBA goal, I turned around to look at the nob who was telling the whole of level 7 how Goooooothrie was shit with Freekicks and we needed Taylor on.
